I'd say Everquest "sort of" sucks. In it's day (1999 - 2000), it was the coolest game I'd ever seen. Nothing since has quite captured its magic. But Luclin and POP, and yes LDoN, have nuked this game into boredom oblivion.
Luclin: Made the world small with Nexus and eliminated the big group talk going on in East Commons when it replaced this real-time open market with the Bazaar.
POP: Easy teleports made the game seem small. Used to be, if you were in one part of the world, you needed to make the effort to find a group in that part of the world or forfeit a good hour in "repositioning yourself."
LDoN: First few of these are cool, after that they are old hat. More so, the dungeon community talk (i.e., camp checks, TRAIN TO ZONE, small talk) was buried. In LDoN you don't really even talk to your group, not enough time, it's all action.
Hope they don't let EQ2 get out of hand like they did EQLive.

I played EQ for about 2 years, and I liked it for all of that time. Once you get high-level, it does get a little monotonous, though. The only thing to do once you get your skills maxed is to go out and kill stuff. I like to make stuff and sell it to earn my money instead of going out and hacking-and-slashing for hours, and it's hard to make anything that sells for a decent price in bulk, since you have to travel all over the world for the different components or pay rediculous prices in the bazaar.

Kel2,
You would be taken far more seriously IF you would post:
1. How long you have played EverQuest.
2. What your highest level character is.
3. WHY you think EQ is bad.
and
4. What you think can be done to make EQ better!
That is constructive criticism.
What you're post did was..... nothing. It didn't help to change anything.
All I have to say is, i'm loving the MMORPG.COM community right now
Good job guys!

ok i will try to recreate word for word....
no, i think you have overlooked
go back and look, did you try smithing? NO
did you try brewing NO
did you try jewelery making? NO
did you try alchemy? NO
everquest offers a lot of other features, you dont just have to fight
so go back, TRY and PLAY the game instead of just fighting
THEN come here and say what you think!
so don't be talking
...and that was all!
