What is the deal with soulshot and spiritshot?

Just curious... I have been playing a bit but have not run into many people... one who gave me the time of day actually. I did not really get a chance to ask him though...

Thanks.

Soulshot is for melee weapons and spiritshot is for magic. Soulshot doubles the damage and i think spirit triples magic. But each grade has corrosponding ss/sps to go with it. Its used for desperate situations.

you'll get them from quests if its the first character you bring to lvl 6. i got around 14k Soulshots just from completing 3 quests.

    Ok here we go!

Soulshots are for fighter classes usually, because they only increase melee or arrow attacks...not Magic Attacks!

Spiritshots increase magic damage! Normal spiritshots increase your magic 1.5x where as more expensive blessed spiritshots increase your magic 2x.

These items can get very addicting, and people always use them in PvP, and if they can afford it, they spam them to level faster because you kill faster. I find them extreamely useful when I am starting to grow out of my weapon, but can still not quite afford my next grade or don't have top grade! Also if you notice, certain weapons consume different amounts of SS and SpS. The lower amount consumed is more money efficient, but usually these weapons are low grade weapons.

If you are a new player (which I can guess you are) you should get free ones from newbie guides and certain newbie quests to help you level. I wouldn't suggest spaming them though, but if you use one or two in battle it will help, and you won't be wasting them on an almost dead mob.

Oh and also...don't get discouraged for not seeing too many people around you. Once you get to level 20 you will start seeing quite a bit more, and when you are lvl 30 and make it to Dion area, you will have wished there were less people...lol. When you get to lvl 35-40 and get to Giran...there will be MANY MANY people!

No lie, its to damn crowded on my server. I cant hunt anywhere with having have a half dozen other people around. (oops and sorry are all you see in chat from people fire on each others mobs)

Did you choose a low pop server? We are tripping all over each other here on TEON

I think I read you picked an Orc as a toon? FYI. Orcs are the least numerous of all the races in L2. I forgot where I saw it but there is a chart out there with the percentage breakdown of the races. Orcs are really low compared to the others. I made an Orc and even on my server the starter town only has a couple of people running around in it.

Once you hit the main towns things will change. Hit 20 then start your 1st class transfer quest then leave your starter area. You could leave before that. Give me a PM if you want to meet ingame and ask a few questions.

SoulShot/ Spiritshot do 2 things. A) increase your damage by alot B) keep you from saving any money lol. I love them and hate them. Think of them as L2 crack for your toon.
