It's kinda weird, but I think I rather liked EVE. I played the 14 day trial and was like, eh. But the more I think about it, the more I kinda liked it. And mainly, as lame as this may sound, I liked it because it was kinda like the mmo for windows. You know? Like, you could have the game open yet still be on the net, listen to music, it was kinda there as an added "thing" to do.
Yeah, I guess more mature would be the idea here.

yeah, i agree with you too. I played the 14 days trial and quite enjoyed it.
There are not many online games that dont need grinding. EVE is one of them. I miss the freedom of time that EVE gave me. While mining, i can do others stuff . Surf net, watch tv, take a bath even go out for dinner. I had an industrial ship on Day 10, i think it took around 2hours to fully spam my 6000m3 cargo space. Even when warping, i still have some time to check the EVE market
Imagine you are playing WOW now, you really have to constantly pay attention to your character. If not, your char will stray from the path you want to go or get eaten by agressive mob or worse get pked.
The game is centered around planning more than playing. I'm the type that gets excited about all of these possibilities that lay in front of me and when I really want to get involved in some action I'm all over Quake 4. So now thanks to Eve, both by action and strategic needs are fulfilled.
