I would have to say that SOE/LA has managed to outdo Michael Moore, Bill O'Reilly, the Democrats and Republicans in dividing a community against itself. On boards all over the net insults and threats are being hurled between players who simply used to enjoy playing the same game.
One group of players seeks to demean, belittle, flame, and terrorize existing players while another group resorts to the same tactics in a fanatical defense of the game. Any constructive criticism or praise gets left by the wayside along with good manners and common decency.
It is a sad state of affairs.

Very much so. But do not believe everything you read on the forums, the people that remain ingame are still being civil for the most part and you can still enjoy yourself. Obraik, myself and a couple other members of mmorpg.com are in the same PA and we are still having fun.
The swg forums are overrun by posters who have cancelled their accounts and are just waiting on the termination of their SWG career. Most of these are also getting more and more billigerent the closer they get to their account running out. I suspect that by January the trolls will mostly have lost posting rights and things will begin to slow down as far as the civil war. Of course I am making a big assumption and that is that SOE begins to live up to some promises and works on the game in that time.

I said it was a big assumption.
Wow!!! SOE has said they wanted to "heat up" the GCW!!!! I just assumed they meant in-game. LOL!!!
