Stess test, different clients?

Well I got an email from fileplanet.com with a stress test that starts tomorrow. At the fileplanet download page I saw one standard client and one hi-res client. On the system specs page it says the minimum is a 32mb video card.

So im gathering there are two different clients? One for lower end machines and one for higher end? If so I am pretty psyched. I have a laptop with an nvidia 5200 64mb so this is a good thing for me.

I think the substantive difference is that the high Res client includes the High Res textures, in addition to the normal res. Some people who had file corrupt errors have been able to download the Hi-Res client with no problems, then do a custom install and unchecking the installation of High-Res textures.

So, unless someone is positive their machine can't handle the high res client, probably worth while to download the High-res to begin with, the settings can always be turned down if the high res textures are too much.

Thanks for the reply. I definitely know that my computer cant handle hi-res, everythings ok except the nvidia 5200 64mb.

I also saw a post saying that non fileplanet subscribers can only download the low res client opposed to subscribers downloading the hi res. Since the test starts in another 9 or so hours ill just stick with the low res client and see how it works out.
