Pioneers - how are things?

in Dark and Light

So i noticed the darkandlight.com site is down which indicates something is wrong. Is this because of server crash when the server got up 20 min ago?

Please reply to the latest posts as this topic has grown old (still is relevant tho)

    The servers were supposed to come up 30 minutes ago but nothing happened.
    No messages from the DEV's
    Their forums are totally overloaded so can't see if things are beeing worked on.

    Why am i not surprised?

    To my knowledge, there is currently a problem with the patch server. Unfortunately, there has not been an official word on the forums about it (can't connect to their IRC channel, it's already full).

    I hope one day Alchemic Dream will learn to put official announcements on technical difficulties as soon as they happen, to avoid tens of threads on the issue and the spreading of rumours.

    Currently playing:
    * City of Heroes: Deggial, Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster. Server: Defiant.
    * City of Villains: Snakeroot, Plant/Thorns Dominator. Server: Defiant.

    Err... when I click on the SoG launcher, it works and begins a large download. It's telling me it's downloading DnL but I'm not a DnL beta tester. All I have is one of those freebie SoG keys I snarfed up the other day.

    EDIT: Bah! It was me. I didn't realise it was me because every single thing this company seems to do is daft. They are vague, ambigious, give out erroneous information and mostly leave it up to us to try and sort out what they want us to do. I'm getting a bit miffed at their incompetence as administrators.

    time says 16:14 Greenwich time. Servers was supposed to come up at 1400. Forum is down again so whats happening? Did the SoG Server crash AGAIN or is it the Webhosting facilites lack of capcity?

    Anyway, SoG has no NDA. Personally, I don't think anyone will be able to get "in it" for a long while ::::21::

    There is no NDA for SoG.   The NDA only applies for the beta test not SoG.  The devs have said this many times.  There is a license agreement on the patcher which does not prohit anyone from talking about the game.

    Already asked, but why En1gma? SoG has no NDA, if it did I wouldn't be in it. (Under 18)

    On topic: I don't know, not a pioneer, and the game server is down, download server is up though.

    ok Guys, enough's enough. En1Gma is only doing his job, and as usual, he's doing it extremely well. Generally speaking, you don't allow people to talk about betas that have an NDA attached. Since this whole Settlers of Ganareth, "prequil" thing is new to us, we don't always know exactly what to do. I, personally, assumed that there was an NDA on it. It seems as though that's not the case. I'm glad that the error was pointed out, but we don't need multiple posts saying EXACTLY the same thing and going on and on about it.
