NVIDIA Compatability?

Like the majority of other people I'm having an error as well, but I think mine might be compatability issues with my graphics card; a GeForce 6600. When I run the launcher it all goes fine, get to the account login information, enter my name and pass, then when I hit 'launch' the launcher box dissapears. Then for a few seconds I get the loading hourglass on my mouse icon, then nothing happens. Its normally at this point where my resolution would spack out for a second then go into game, but its just not doing anything, nothing carries on running, no errors popping up.

Other than looking if there are newer drivers, anyone got any ideas?

I had duel monitors linked up and was playing at a 1152 x 864 setting, figured that might be an issue so changed my appearance setting to 1024 x 768 and disabled my second monitor. Still nothing though.

    The game was built with the Nvidia Gforce FX in mind.  Your 6600 should have absolutely no problem running the game.  Make sure your drivers are up to date.  Also keep your screen resolution and display resolution to the game the same.  I suggest 1024 x 768  85Hz.  For some reason Sound works on my system when I switch from 60Hz to 85 Hz.

    Also pretty much no one can connect right now.  The server doesn't seem capable of handling all the connections.  It may be an issue of Server Location.  I am pretty sure the server is located on a small island off France, or maybe it was an island of Madagascar.  In any case its 1/4th to 1/2 the world away from where I live so I expected severe lag coming in, and eating up more of my connection to send a transmission that far.

    with what you said do you think my geforce 2  should run this game , i can get in the game play for awhile with god alful lag but i can play but after so long it just locks up on me then i have to close it down and start over is that my card or what ?

    I have a 6600 GT and i have problems with graphics ingame too (when i can actually get ingame that is) I have the latest Nvidia driver and have tried tweaking it but to no avail ::::37:: Now i try to log on and all i get is "Server is down"
    Someone somewhere is taking the pi$$ ::::26::

    Cant say I know about GeForce2, sounds like it MIGHT be below the recommended specs though. Check the DnL site.

    As for the person replying to my problem. I know they are aiming at Nvidia cards, reason I brought it up was that 2 people in the DnL forum were having exactly the same problem as me and had the same Gfx card. And I'm not even getting into the loading screen or hearing music, I dont get that far. As soon as the launcher box drops, thats it.

    Will try your recommendations though.
