i got past the login only to get the same old you have been disconnected message no one else seems to get...tried again with all firewalls and anti-virus disabled and looked like servers where down again.

Was this fame designed by little kids, give me freaking break here for christs sake. These are grown ups and they should know their crap when it comes to servers, they obviously know nothing about technology. It would be nice to play but I dont have much high hopes for this game any longer. I see this being buggy week by week and then DNL getting pushed back for another yr and then the company will run out of resources, money and pretty much this will become non existent. Really sad though, oh well I still have WOW and I have 3 chars and they're all in the 30's so I have plenty to enjoy in that game.
you guys really crack me up. what did you expect from a free version of a game that is 5-6 months away from going live (at best)
Same thing I expect from say, DDO, which also is slated for release in April, it's beta began Nov 1st. It's been in development like 2 years maybe? The first interview for it was in Oct 24th at this site. Sept '04 is when the website went live. Compare that with SoG, twice as long in development.
You simply can't use the "it's coming out in 6 months" excuse. DDO is and it's nearly a finished game. 6 months is polish time, not key gameplay mechanics, engine and server work still to be done time.
Same thing they promised.
A prelude to DnL. Getting a chance to set foot n leave yer prints in the world.
Not a prebeta version of something, that doesn't even give you the chance to set foot anywhere still.
