HELP!!!!

in Dark and Light

Ok I'm and idiot but ime sure I have done everything to try and get the game to work but I am still patching the entire game, 809mb left lol maybe it will be finished in 3-4days. 

1) I deleted the dnl.cfg file

2) I installed it c:programfilesdarl and lightlauncher

 

I'm sure I'm missing something so could some please write me an idiots guide to doing this.

    here is what i did and mine worked untill the server went down.

    i downloaded the Launcher.exe and the SoG.exe in a folder i made for it

    then i double clicked the launcher.exe and it did its thing (it made a folder for its self) then i was left with the launcher screen and at the bottom it wanted me to unpack the SoG.exe so i clicked browse and found c:program filesdark and lightlaucher and clicked unpack and i was set .

    after i fixed the few problems i had with indeo codecs and the dnl.ini file.

    you have to run the 1.35gb sog.exe into the launcher folder so it installs all the data.

    Thanks for the help I have just deleted all the files and am dl them on azerus (AGAIN LOL) hopefully I'll have better luck, but just in case is this what I do?

    1) Download both torrent files

    2) Double click the brown launcher thing and install it

    3) double click the sog box (square with blue athe top looks like a window?)

    4) open it into c:programfiledark and lightlauncher

    Is that it or is there more steps?  Again like I said i'm BAD at this stuff and it really is the first time I've had to do anything like this.  Usually I just ahve a disk and an instruction manual.

    you're supposed to install the launcher and then move or copy the 1.35 gig SoG.exe file into the launcher folder then double click it to unpack. after it unpacks make sure you delete the DnL.ini file because it causes a microsoft runtime error, at least it did for me, and it seems like a lot of other people have experienced the same problems. Anyway I hope that makes sense.


    2. Download and install the SoG Client in the launcher directory.

    I didnt touch the sog/dnl programs just the launcher

    i missed a step out i think :( after you install the launcher.exe double click the moon icon launcher then unpack the sog.exe with the launcher.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^DO THIS!^^^^^^^^^^

    Otherwise when you do step #3, the default folder is something completely different and your going to be re-downloading the game at 8 KB/S, even if you already downloaded the game in bit-torrent.  Put Step #3 into the folder in Step #4.

    Only 2.5mb left rather than the 850mb I had.  YAY I hope it's worth it LOL but from what I've read I won't be able to log on.  Again thank you all for holding an idiot n00bs hand and walking me through this.
