EVE 2

Ive been playing EVE for quite a while now and I must say graphically its awesome, but its still using an "old" engine. Are there any development thoughts for development of Eve2 using the very latest technologies? Maybe this would still use the old gameworld, just port into a new wormhole (or whatever) of which when we come out of the other end of that wormhole we are in a new realm with far superior graphics and more up to date gaming technology.

    Given the way CCP normally do things, they'd just roll any updates out as part of an update. It would most likely be done the same way as a major content update.

    There are only certain things you can update though. I mean like going from EQ to EQ2.

    They (CCP) actually commented on this in an article somewhere.  EVE 2 is still several years away.  They mentioned starting on it in about 4 or 5 years if i remember correctly.  Sorry i dont have a link i cant remember where i read it but it was an interview with the owner of CCP i believe so i'd assume thats about as good as it gets for info.
