I think NP3 had pretty must settled their fate now. After 5 years or so of working on the game this is what they came up with. Those who say SoG is not the DnL beta, are right. This is he best of DnL, this is the flagship of Farlan/NP3. April is 4 and a half years away. Does anyone really think that these guys can fill the world with content, fix all the bugs in what they have done so far, manage to add in all the features they promised such as housing, crafting, NPC's, a working decent quest system and all the other myriad promises thy have been making. If you do think they can then welcome to never never land.
I think they have sealed their fate now. At the very best this will be a small niche game, at worst the website will go away in a few months. Maybe they can write a book on how to lose the most customers in the shortest amount of time. God knows they had and still have some dedicated ones, almost a cult following so maybe they can limp along for a few more years with a minimal customer base. I am sure there will be a handful that will hang in there to the bitter end.
Anyway it is over for me, I may come back and read these and the official forums occasionally but this will probably be my last thread ever, and other than maybe a reply or two on this one my last posts on this game ever.

Is it over for you now that you can no longer flame fanboys? what game are you gonna stalk and flame now?
Did it ever occur to you the majority of flamers are beta testers that resorted to using a round about way of warning people about the game without ever admitting they are in beta(NDA).... You know, some of the beta testers may have actually felt bad for all of the potential Suckers of Ganareth after the way they where treated in beta by these con artist...
but maybe you will sleep better at night without all the confusion, its much easier accusing the negative views as flamers and stalkers..
On more positive note, VANGUARD...VANGUARD...VANGUARD.. and when DnL gets out of dodge all the Suckers of Ganareth can play Mourning...

good post jackdog, pretty much sums up my feelings about the game. Its not even worth the bandwidth you waste on downloading the beta, stay well clear from this one. Definitely another mourning in the making.

Lets just say that they should have rather concentrated on working content instead of creating a game world to huge to be handled by a small team.
If this is supposed to be the result of five years of work...well^^
And even if SoG is not DnL I think we all know that DnL is currently in a similar condition as SoG, why else would they have released SoG if not as an advertisment for what is going to be released in April.

This is awesome news! If all the haters could post where they are moving on to I'll be able to tag those forums as the ones to give I wide berth too.
It'll be awesome to see you leave. Regardless of how bad a game is those bashing it before they even tried it are special haters. I doubt you'll be able to let go just like that, these forums seemed to dominate your life and it'll be hard to let go.
Perhaps as your first and last act of kindness pass on the key for this game to a person who is willing to give it a try.

Yeah its that sort of attitude which really lets us see your true colors.
A large number of people want to experience the game first hand. They see people both enjoying it and people not enjoying it. Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one. Just because you dont like the game (and lets face it, with your attitude toward this game, it could have been utterly amazing and you'd still have hated it) doesnt mean everyone does. On less biased board there are nice reviews.
So you decide to take it upon yourself to deny someone who wants to play, regardless of the games quality. This shows the kind of person you are. Enjoy your next game, may you hate Vanguard or DDO as much as you hate this. Just don't come to Pirates as I'll be there.
I signed up for Potbs beta, Vanguard beta, Chronicles of Spellborn beta and Heroes Journey beta. You assume a little much though in your fanboi-rage of blindness. If DnL was an excellent game, I'd say so and be happy for those who get to play it. Since DnL sucks hairy donkeyballs, I say that and stick to it. That you still search for a valid justification that you invested time/engery and possibly money into a pioneer account is your problem. It will not change the fact that SoG sucks, was not ready for the public and that DnL will not be ready until April. You are free to talk the game beautiful for yourself - your rabid fanboiism does no longer conceal the truth.

Anyway Jackdog although you irritated me no end with your constant negative posts it will be a shame to cya you go from here. Of the many haters on here you are one of the few that at least gave a constructive point of view and not just ranting all the time..

Sad to see you go. You should be given credit as everything you predicted and said about this game has come true. I can understand why you want to go, As long as there was hope for this game we could still be fans of it even if we did think it would turn out poorly. But a depressing, dying game is hard to stomach. The trainwreck you predicted has just begun and it appears it will just get uglier.
Best of luck in the next game. Hopefully Vanguard is as good as it looks.

It's such a curious phenomenon that just because a person thinks a game is bad and won't play it that they can stand on a pedestal and tell everyone they should hate it too and not like it.

Sorry kids, it doesn't work like that. What one person may not enjoy another person may love. Thats why there are countless mmorpgs with people enjoying each for different reasons.

Bloodblade, have you made a post on this board where you have not personally attacked someone? Sadly all I have seen from your posts is insults and attacks on people who dare to disagree with your position. This seems to be the common theme of many fanboy posts. Unfortunatley, they cannot support their positions with argument so they attack the realists who disagree with them and then usually go on some rant asking them to leave the boards.
The sad thing is most of us realists have been fans of this game for 3-4 years and much longer than the most of the fanboys here hurling the insults. We all would like to see this game succeed and we are all obvioulsy frustrated by the state of the game now but please leave the personal attacks to the official forums where critical comments about the game is not allowed. I will be very happy when the official forums come up and this forum will become civil and realistic again while the fanboys can go back to their dreamland boards and convince each other that a miracle build will be coming any day now.
