Help me find a new MMORPG...

I'm an old UO/EQ player... in need of a new game to play!! Christmas is coming and my girlfriend will buy me whatever game I want to play!! Any suggestions?

Out of all that I have played I think the one that has been the most fun and kept my interest the longest is DAoC. I know many people prefere EQ over DAoC but I've played them both and DAoC is much more fun for ME. AC/ACII was good for a while but I lost interest in it pretty fast.
With DAoC you have 3 realms battling for power. So instead of PvP you have RvR. They do have several severs that are PvP and one that is Co-op. Each realm has a frontier with 9 Keeps, 2 of those keeps contain relics. One relic is strength, the other is power (mana). Once you reach a higher level you group up with guildmates or realmates and TRY to gain control over the other realms keeps. Guilds are able to claim a keep once thier realm has control over it.
Within each realm there is an enourmous amount of activities. All sorts of dungeons and areas to explore... Umm, ok, sounds like I'm writing a review here. Lets just say there's plenty in DAoC to keep you busy for a year or two.
Let me just throw up the warning now though. If you love your girlfriend. DONT PLAY DAoC!!!!

Anyways, back to the topic... before I make my choice... I would like to download a demo to try the game in advance. BTW I downloaded the UO AoS demo..... and jeez it looks archaic now!!

Hmm.. as far as I know, there is no demo to download for DAoC. If you buy the game I think you still get the first month free. I'm not sure about that though.

If you are after a tried and tested game then you looking for DAoC since you played EQ.
FF XI,SWG,neocron,AC2 ,eve online and all the ones released after DAoC don't even hold a candle to DAoC.
Dunno how horizons,EQ2 or WoW will be since they have not been released yet.
I'd suggest waiting for Horizons which will be on shelves December 9th. Let's just hope it doesn't disappoint me.
