For anyone wanting to check out a new game, have a look at Minions of Mirth. I just started playing it today and so far it's a very cool game. You can play it single player as well as multiplayer. I've been playing it single player and it's alot like a single player EQ. For multiplayer you can play on their server or you can host your own world and change the content, spawns items, etc. There's alot to it, I can see this game going far. No monthly fees either. They have a free demo, check it out.

I've never even heard about this game untill now, do alot of people play it?
Well, the game has just been released without any advertising. The main server has a thousand registered accounts but the population is usually around 15-20 players ... MoM need more population.
But the community is great and it seems that almost all the people that have played the game for a few hours has fallen in love
Go to the main thread, you will find some infos, screenshots and some posts of the author.

I have to agree with you macpete the games all around awesome.. but I really would like to see a population of around 100-200 people on at a time around there. The community still kicks ass tho and alot of discussion happens on the global channel.
I feel your pain ... I hope that this game will meet RPG fans approval soon.
I'm slighty optimistic

I would get it bought I already have Guildwars, WoW, EQ1, EQ2, Daoc rotting on my shelves and although I payed for them all, my parents still find it annoying how i buy mmo's and stop playing when I get bored hehe. So I am gonna stay away from buying stuff for a while. Oh, and yes I did try the trial, I really dislike how you can have all 6 or w/e of your group members in your party all at once...it dosn't feel "realist" not seeing them there or anything. Just don't like that option.
