well aparantly there are 2 ways to fix dnlg.exe crash error

    1. delete dnl.ini and dnl.cfg filesin the SoG directory and run the full integrity check

    2. right click on your compass (minimap) ingame and deselect roads
also do that when you look up your map (M)
    (mostly just on the compass)

btw is it compass or compas....

    yes, it is compass.

Whenever I can get back in game, I'll try removing roads. <hoping!>

Didn't fix it for me. I tried to remove all sorts of crap on compass and on map - still get dnlg.exe error in congested areas.

I've turned on and turned off almost all the features - doesn't make a difference on my box. Best thing is level up to 15, 20 putting up with the crashing crap, and then flee the congested areas!

This seems to be caused by certain video cards. try updateing your drivers, or spend some christmas cash on a new vid card.

In game fixes i.e. compass changes, may help, but the real problem is your video card.

The game would not run on my desktop (3.0 Ghz p4 d dual core, 1g DDR2, 128mb intel video(generic)), but my laptop ran it fine, (standard dell, pent M, 1 g DDR2, raedeon X300), I still get some dnlg.exe crashes but very rare and only during complex graphics rendering.

I will be upgrading my DT to a PCIx Nvidia Gforce 7800 256MB DDR3 after christmas, i hope that will kill this error once and for all.

    hope it helps
