SoG is not free....

Settlers of Ganareth is not free for 8,881 people that got the pre order... If they had not payed for the preorder chances are they would not be playing SOG... BESIDES IT WAS STATED as part of list of goodies you get when you give Farlan 60 bucks.. there fore its NOT FREE...

Ok, so 10,000 people are playing this game for free.... well some where around that number, considering lots of free accounts where bought on EBAY these people are not playing for FREE EITHER..

I LOVE SOG WHEN ITS UP IN MY FACE, ITS SO HOT but MY FELLOW FANBOYS ARE MAKING US LOOK STUPID WHEN THEY SAY THIS GAMES FREE... Your only represnting a minor portion of the people playing this game.... STOP BEING SO DAMN SILLY

    SoG is indeed free.  I have one of the 10,000 free settler accounts.  I've never even had to input any CC info.

    From what I understand you Pioneers paid to pre-order Dark and Light, and as an added bonus the developers even gave you each a SoG account for, (you guessed it,) free. 

    So Pioneers, please stop representing yourselves as paying customers.  You are playing SoG for free just like the rest of us.

    SOG is free because I didn't have to pay anything for it.  You might think you had to but really it all went to DnL.  This argument shouldn't even matter because the money is going to the same devs and game anyway.

    What do you think is paying to keep this pos game afloat? Umm thats right idiot, the money the Pioneers paid these wannabe developers.Without the Pioneers money, you little cheap fanbois wouldn't have free SoG accounts, because there would be no SoG.

    It's not exactly easy to speculate about the finances of a company.  Especially when there's 3 different companies involved.  At least one of them would have thought the investment was too close to fruition to give up on it now and would've taken out loans or used assets from another division to push forward.  Just because someone is selling something or performing a service doesn't mean they're making money.

    You may not have paid for SoG but I did.  I paid for a guaranteed spot in SoG and a dragon in SoG.  DnL might be a bonus for me but I paid for SoG not DnL.  I sure would not have given them $60 6 months in adavnce without getting SoG.  Besides after seeing the shape SoG is in the liklihood of DnL ever getting released is lim to none.  My guess is that $60 is soley for SoG as no one will ever see DnL.

    Huh? SoG is free. The $60 is for your spot in DnL. Lately, all I'm hearing are people whining about how SoG sucks... get a clue, it's an alpha and will be buggy until all the bugs are worked out. Either stick it out or move on...

    And yes, I have a Pioneer account too yet, I did not pay for SoG, I paid for my spot in DnL.
