I am pretty sure SoE has a version of the pre-CU game on it archives and it could be re-installed relatively easily.
However, Johny himself may be unaware of this and have no idea, so the guy who is telling you they can't offer you this is prolly telling you what he believe, right away, without checking anything.
Pre-CU can't be deleted in a structured and respected company, have no fear, it it on archives.
