Yea I loved NWN on AOL. I remember the PVP days playing that game where Feeblemind was the best debuff spell. When you'd cast it on another player and if it stuck... "<player name> is stupid". LOL I loved it. Then everyone in game chat would laugh saying "LMAO THUD!"

Ugh the memories of that game. Was great. Makes you want to play it again. :)

My first MMORPG, thanks to friends back in high school, was Everquest. This was right before Velious came out when I tried. As a result I played off and on for a number a years when things became boring, felt I was spending to much time or it became to much like work. As for it being my favorite it isn't be honest due to the work feeling.

I don't really have a favorite. I feel that UXO would have became my favorite if EA hadn't been stupid during it's development.

My 1st MMORPG is Asheron's Call.  I played that for 3years on the Solclaim server in Abie's Family allegiance.  We had 1200+ characters in the allegience and we were all a bunch of people who liked teaming up and talking while we were doing quests and hunting.  Lots of memories.  Great game, I would go back in a heartbeat if I knew the player base was still really big.  However I'd have to start from scratch with all my players... actually they still might have them on file with my old account, hmmm maybe I'll register for a month to see what it's like.

2nd mmorpg was AC2: very lame, only thing better in that game were the visuals compared to AC1

3rd mmorpg: Sims online beta.  Don't know why I even signed up for it.

4th mmorpg: Star Wars Galaxies.  I was dissapointed in many ways.

5th mmorpg: City of Heroes/Villains: Great game/s, great character creation.  However I got bored after awhile...

6th mmorpg: World of Warcraft: Played it for 6months and now I'm bored with it.

I've always compared AC1 to all these titles, and AC beats them all hands down.  However AC lacks the player base now, so thats why I fear to go back.

MxO had people that assumed you were a kid just for disagreeing, even if you disagreed in an adult manner. They had a very exclusive attitude instead of an inclusive one, and their subscription rates show it. CoV had many anti-PvP forum trolls. Guild Wars was the only one that had a great community that achieved The Balance. Adult enough not to be asses, but child-like enough to embrace fun. Good peeps over there. If I had more time and less MMO burnout, I'd still be playing Guild Wars. I plan to buy the sequel out of respect alone.

Please tell me you're joking, Guild Wars, has the freakin' worst communtiny in any MMO I've ever seen apart from Runescape. l337 kiddies, retards who can't spell, people who think they are better than everyone else, but can't spell, and retards who set up guilds with stupid names.

I'm sorry your experience wasn't as pleasant as mine. Yes, we had our share of retards when it came out just like any shiny new toy. However, most have learned the hard way that you can't be a jerk in GW and "pwn". It takes well executed teamwork just to progress in PvE let alone do well in PvP matches.

I'd encourage you to give it another try. And if it's still not for you, at least you didn't spend $15/month to find that out.

Guild Wars is still an MMO.
