Permadeath?

ok so I was reading a FAQ on this game and it mentioned that "main" characters are at risk for permadeath, but then I read that you can have an "heir" or something like that, that inherits all your abilities and possesions. Is this true?

    Possibly. However, "…any hereditary system would involve an "all or nothing" aspect. Either you take the reputation, skill bonuses, and property or you take none of it. Either you're the same race and you can take it all or you're a different race and you get nothing. As you might have guessed, both the original and subsequent characters would have to be main characters as well."

    ya I have no problem with inheriting the reputation and everything, but is this a definite or just something being considered?

    Inheriting the 'Main' chracters skills would be great, Would be cool if you could inherit there features and could have genarations of people.
    Maybe a bit to realistic.

    From what i have read i do not beleive that your "heir" will inherit ALL of your skills and abilities.  They may have a bonus to them or progress more easily in those skills.  Inheriting everything and losing nothing kinda makes permadeath pointless.image
