Funny part is that you again ignored the point. Did I say delete? Did I say I wanted flowery? And what is truth? Like you said - its a matter of perspective and mindset. To AA - truth is he is enjoying himself. To you - you aren't. I don't pay them anymore and I am well aware that their forums are heavy handed and biased. That is there and it will stay there. I am talking here at mmorpg.com. A place where people come to hear different ideas and opinions. Good and the bad true. Problem is that threads in the SWG forum tend to turn into the same old reheated dinner. What you said in the paragraph above isn't new to anyone here. 2.5 years, paid their bills, led us on...a quick price check in my forum posts and gasp...I have posted the same things myself and I would bet farmer's gold that it has ben mentioned nigh on 100 times within a 14 day period. Back to that reduncancy thing.
It reminds me of this guy I knew who played football in high school. Years later, no matter what the conversation was it always turned into the football covnversation. "Hey, I bought a video card." "Great, do you remember the time when I threw that 15 yard pass..." "Hey your wife gave birth to a boy..." "Great, maybe he can pass like his old man back in that game..."

I like reading a good dig on SOE. The New York Times article was a blast though a bit uneven in approach. Every review that gets posted here - I read it and forward it on to my old SWG guildies. I smile because the CU was shrugged off and no one seemed to want to cover hit. Heck, I remember trying to call out the CU reviewer here on this site about what I thought was SOE bias. Still, I brought this all up a few pages back because on topic thread discussion seems to have flown out the window and personal attacks seem to be the only things that are covered after two pages no matter what the original topic was.
Want to post your thoughts? Think that you have a new gripe that no one else has thought of? Want to warn that mass of new players who look to this forum to decide whether or not to play SWG? Then start a thread - call it Dont play this game and here are the reasons why AND keep bumping it every day. They can't miss it and it won't get lost in page 8 of "Pub 27 and some really cool stuff coming" threads. Outside of that, you will get the same people agreeing to your points but then again, thats preaching to the choir.

Now go monitor the SWG supporters post repetivness and see if you can get some headway by pressing them with more suggestions people wont adhere to, unless you wish to drag this out further and hear more of what seems to annoy you.

Anyways, I'm done with this. Look at what you people are. You've reduced yourselves to bickering loudmouths who just want to pick sides and fire canonballs at each other. You're squabbling over the actions of a multi-million dollar company, one in which you have no say in and certain in which they aren't going to come here and read these posts.

Say what you want about SWG, but I'm going to go play it and enjoy it. Call me a "cheerleader" if you want. If enjoying the game means I have to be stereotyped, then so be it! Call me anything you want, but have fun banging your head on the keyboard while you think about me having fun on my server, something you can't do. I don't need to convince a handful of haters that the game is good before I can like it. Sure, it's not the best game EVER CREATED, but I like it too much to just walk away.

I think SWG is still fun and that's MY opinion. These little battles changes nothing. One guy is fighting another, one person is insulting somebody, it goes on! At least I'm smart enough to recognize this as an un-winnable battle and just walk away. It's a waste of my time to struggle with people so set on hating a game/company. Why does it have to get so off-topic anyways? The first post was about the uncoming good changes for SWG, then you pessimists had to come in and rain on everyone's parade.

I'd ask you to stay off my server, but I know you will anyways. C-Ya!

No, actually, no we can't. SOE worked long and hard to make sure that we can't enjoy the game. All we can do is fight for the earlies possible arrival of SWG2. I decided to pledge my loyalty to SWG when I first heard about it. I pointed at it and said "That is the MMORPG that I want to play".
So cancel your account to help hasten the arrival of SWG2 and you can again play that game. The game you claim to be loyal to no longer exists. I'm not going to get into pledging loyalty to a game other than to suggest that you might want to talk to somebody about that, seriously. Let's see... play a game I like NOW, or cancel my account and wait two years for them to make SWG2. Let's forget the fact that a SWG2 isn't even guaranteed. Sounds like fool's gold. The game I'm loyal to DOES exist. Your opinion says it does not simply because of the existence of a NGE that you dislike.

IN MY OPINION, pledging loyalty to SWG just makes you sheep. But that's just my opinion. About SWG 2 not beign certain, see points above in yellow.

This is the problem with most of the SOE cheerleaders, they don't understand that we DO want to play it, but we CAN'T play it until it's crappy replacement is cancelled and SWG2 is made. So just because I like playing SWG, that makes me a cheerleader? I love stereotyping!

Why come here on "our" topic and flame SWG? First because we can and we have just as much a right as you do to come and praise it. I'm just giving you the other side of the story and why I think what you are doing is wrong. Up to you what to do with the knowledge we give you.

Apparently the SOE cheerleaders DO need to be reminded because you still don't get it. You say you know, but it's quite apparent that you don't comprehend. SWG is dead, that's current, not old news, until such time as all interested parties know and understand that. I think it's YOU who doesn't get it. We don't care. The hype is over. Everyone who will cancel their account has done it by now. Everyone who will continue to play has, by now, decided that no amount of trolls or flamers will change their mind. Stop being martyr. I think it's you who doesn't get it. Nobody is forcing you to read anything. Most posts that are anti- NGE/SWG/SOE are easily recognizable, just skip them! I know that those that were gonna quit by now have done so and the ones that were gonna stay are there. But MY intentions is that everyone that comes here thinking about going into SWG to hear the other side of the story, not just the PR and the "everything is great in CareBear Land"! And God forbid, perhaps even convince a few open minded persons that they should drop SWG for the good of Star Wars and MMOs in general.

I've got news for you it's part of your past too. It's those that have stuck with SOE that don't care about SWG. SWG no longer exists, they have another shoddy and underpopulated product they misleadingly call SWG but it bears very little resemblence to that game. Oh, so now you're calling me a traitor? Don't that beat all? Suddenly, this has become a nation... not a game. I instantly make enemies just because I have fun playing a game. And who's right is it to say what IS or ISN'T SWG? What is the true SWG? Pre-CU? Post-NGE? How can we truthfully answer this question and who was the AUTHORITY to make such a decision? The people who play the game? The people who designed the game? Neither side can answer because both will be biased, so don't even try to do so.

I don't know where do you see that he called you a traitor. What I understand from this post is that, just like I believe that SOE is deceiving all these newcommers with a very nice, very Star Warsy experience during the trial, but beneath lies a bug-ridden, broken and un-fun experience that will probably get changed in a month anyway. SOE took away the game I loved, changed it and gave it to you, why shouldn't I try to convince you and others that they might do the same to you? If you don't want to hear it, feel free to skip my posts!

They aren't affecting me. I was a star wars fan long before soe. I have been on BB's long before this game and will be long after its gone. I dont consider coming here for good discussions and funny posts any different then I would be doing anyways. I still check swg forums waiting for something big to happen.

I am hoping I get a pre-cu server for christmas/quanza/hanaka/budda/alla whatever god it takes I am asking for a pre-cu server to play on.

I played the game at release and then quit, coming back from time to time. NGE may or may not have been a mistake, only time will tell. I tried the new demo of it and I did enjoy the pace of the action a bit more, not saying that there isnt a host of problems with a drastic change like this, but it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.

That being said, most of you do appear to be like a pack of wolves. I know you have a right to be angry for the change, but when are you just going to move on? Wepps just posted some info on the game and you arrive with torches and pitchforks. In other threads you completely let loose on anyone who has something positive to say.

Its sad really, that you hang around just to make those kind of remarks. If SWG has burned you so bad, I wouldnt think you would care what was happening now, let alone be posting in SWG forums.

Thats just my outside opinion. Ive always wanted this game to do well, I dont know if its possible now, but hopefully they can pull a fun game out of this and offer something to the shellshocked community that will keep them playing.

It really comes down to this with players of SWG, there's a fine line between love and hate, basicly it's the same emotion. Thus all the slamming of SWG now, in my humble opinion. They can't get over it because they loved it so.
