Please, enough of the popularity contest! You make me feel like I'm in High School again.
Why don't you apply that same popularity standard to today's music then tell me the top of the charts contain the best musicians. Geez.
And yes, I'm tired of the stupid WoW vs EQ2 battles. They're both cool games. They both are fun for different reasons. And I hope they both live long long long lives and provide their subscribers with all the fun they hope to get out of them.
I'd hate to see either game go the way of AC2. That sucks.
5 million people think its a good game or they wouldn't be playing.

its their opinion. just like someone likes WoW over EQ2 or whatever other games are out there.
so yes i'm tired of seeing all the dumb posts about the subject. and not just WoW vs. EQ2 but every other game out there.

GW isnt even a MMORPG. It a MMO combat simulator for 20 whole levels.

neither is wether wich game is better,it doesnt matter-if u like it cool..no hurt in talkn about it..thats what foums are for..and like they said above, it doesnt matter if 5million people play it, that doesnt make it fun, what if 5 million people were playing the matrix online or something..big deal..
i say let them argue..doesnt change a thing..keeps the boards alive, new people are able to read them..if u dont like them dont read them..lol.

the main diffrence: people go like:"Look, i listen to [insertrandomcrapartistakarapper] i'm so kewl"
but people won't go like: "Look! I play WoW, I'm so kewl"
notice the diffrence?
of course they can be compared...not by ''kewlness'' but by the effect of marketing on sales.

this factor is not even half as big in MMORPG's.
It's not the EQ2 vs WoW threads I'm tired of exactly. What really becomes annoying is people who fail to grasp the concept of subjectivity.
Currently playing:
* City of Heroes: Deggial, Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster. Server: Defiant.
* City of Villains: Snakeroot, Plant/Thorns Dominator. Server: Defiant.
Exaclty. So game A has 5 million subscribers and game B has 1 million ( or whatever), so what! If someone wants to assume that game players are like sheep, that's up to tthem. I like to credit game players with more intelligence, since I am one

Everyone does what they like anyway, or should do. I pay for the game, the subscription, the broadband account and upgrades to my computer. I find out for myself which game is 'best' by downloading a trial or reading opinions of others, magazines, other websites etc, who I am free to ignore.
I doubt anyone is influenced by these types of posts as they are either already playing one of the 2, play both/neither or are thinking of getting one, but read the official forums/download a trial instead.
Anyone let's talk about something more important, PLAYING MMORPGS MAKE YOU IMPOTENT.

I agree Ashkent, I am tired of seeing "this game is better than that game". Whether or not a game is a good game is a matter of opinion and everybody has one. You really cannot compare one game against another because they are all a bit different and each one has its hot points. You might as well ask, "what is better an apple or an orange". That is why, people who ask "what game is better" are asking the wrong question. What they should really asking is "what game do you like better".

Exactly what i was saying. If people asked that then others woul actually have a reason for why they like one over the other instead of just WoW has 5 million subscribers (actually they only anounced what like 2.5 million, so i wonder ware that number came from?)and actually say why they like the game.
