who plays tabletop 40k and what army do u collect ::::08::::::37::

    6 year vet for warhammer 40k i play the space marines and the eldar i all so play the lord of the rings and play as the rohan and will make a esterling force and i am all so building a high elf army its going slow what army do you play

    2k Tau, 1k Tyranids, 1.2 k White Scar Space Marines, 2k Ultra Marines, 1k Eldar, 1.5 k Dark Eldar, and I am starting a new Chaos army once I get some extra cash.

    well i got ONE frend that plays 40K

    but could someone explain how exacly this game is played

    cuz it looks pretty kool

    but i mean buying these lil figurines that cost like 20 bucks for like 3 of em seems ridiculous

    well can someone explain how this game all works

    i was thinking about getting into a tabletop game...
    i guess the popular one is warhammer.
    are there any fantasy tabletops?

    Games Workshop makes a sci fi and a fantasy one. The sci fi game is called Warhammer 40k, the fantasy one is simply called Warhammer (or Warhammer Fantasy).

    I haven't played in a bit since the store around here closed, but my 40k armies are Space Marines (because everyone's got to have a SM army), small Imperial Guard and ork armies, and a Grey Knight army (Yes, all Grey Knights. No, I don't win with it often).

    For Fantasy I have small Bretonnia and Skaven armies (small Skaven army is subjective, it's still more models than any other army I own), a moderate Demon army (started before the Hordes of Chaos rules came out when they really sucked :P ) and a growing Empire army. I love the Empire, especially the German flavor of it. My Empire army is based around the Teutonic Knights, just with different names on certain things. And no gunpowder! We use crossbows in the Order, thank you very much.

    I use to play Warhammer 40k about 11+ years ago. I gave it up, cause all the people I played with joined the military and got rid of their armies.

    But, at the time, I was rocking an Eldar Army with a Harlequin contingent and a Space Wolf Army (all in terminator armor). I along with 4 of my friends ended up giving away all our armies (2 Chaos Armies, 1 Orc Army, 1 Imperial Guard Army, 1 Tyranid Army, 3 Space Marine Armies, 1 Eldar Army) for free to some kids that just discovered the game.

    I thought about picking it back up, since a friend of mine works for Games Workshop. If I do, I'm thinking about going with Daemonhunters (Gray Knight Terminators FTW!)

    i would but there be a lot to explain and we all know i can not spell lol  oh and my space marine army is 3k points and eldar are 2k
