You don't have Baldur's Gate, I would have voted for that if it was up. Of what is up there, I would probably say just Warcraft in general, not particularly WoW though.

I liked Fable but it's not really a series. Baulders Gate by far my favourite series. From the computer RPG's to the X-Box grinds I loved them all!!! I also Liked FF but since I haven't played any of the PS2 games I really can't say weather it's better then BG. Just my opinion...Also Where's Eldar Scroll??
Final Fantasy is possibly the most boring series I have ever played. It takes no quick thinking.. you have all the time in the world to plan that next move. The graphics generally suck (even for the time they came out- games were way ahead of the graphics Final Fantasy 7 when that game came out) and the storylines are mediocre. The characters are generic and uncreative and it just plain stinks.
Games like Neverwinter Nights, Warcraft (the strategy game series) and the Fable series are all MUCH more creative, fun and interactive than Final Fantasy.
i play on australian servers because racism is acceptable there
What Gargantroo said except the exact opposite and minus Neverwinter Nights and any Black Isle game cause theyre great too...
I would suggest playing FF series if you are looking for a awesome story to get sucked into.
But if your the type of gamer that always wants something about the game to have innovate strategic gameplay and allow you to play your own story than to follow a story.
I would suggest Deus Ex/2 & Elder Scroll 3.
Even if there were games that had more polygons than Final Fantasy 7 at the time, FF7 was still the better looking game with beautifully designed pre-rendered graphics and characters. And it was quite an influential game to future RPG's as it was one of the first of its kind to breakaway from 2d RPG's and move onto RPG's that made players feel emotional.

I agree! Let's us burn the Heretic for the greater glory of the Prince of Lies, Lord of Murder, Death Lord, God of Strife and many other titles, Overlord Cyric!
(Although the DragonLance and Mystara settings are extremely appealing as well, not restricting it to Forgotten Realms)

The Final Fantasy Series for sure, last summer I discovered my roomate had that FF collection that was released for playstation a while back. So i sat down and punched out most of the very old school ones throughout the summer, plus I was playing FFXI. Guess I'm just a die hard fan, and am hoping that Fantasy Earth will be decent also if it ever is released.
