Green tags (new players) seem to be on the rise

I've been noticing a lot of green tags in the game. For those who don't know, when you first start off in WW2OL BE your name tag is green.

Being a noob in this game isn't the horrible experience it is in many other games. Most players will offer you friendly advice and some will even hang around you for a while and help you out.

Once you understand the power of the anti infantry Panzers and the sapper your rank could jump 5 ranks in a week. Being a recruit is literally only a day thing.

I tried out this game when it was first released.  Unfortunately it was a bit in need of work then and I moved on.  I always liked the concept and am again interested in trying it out.  I have a few weeks left for my real life deployment to end before I get back home to start a new account.  Can someone provide any suggestions for a beginner?

Try out both sides. When you find a side you like check the recruitment forums and get in with a good squad. Makes things a whole lot easier and way more fun.

A very good advice. The best thing a newcomer can do is to join a squad. They will learn you the ropes, and they will take care of you.

The second best thing to do is to let people around you know that you are new to the game and you would like to get some good advice. In 95% should you get at least a few guys ready to help you out.

Third best thing is to look at the other players and follow them and behave as they do. Keep your head down and don't fire at everything you see, especially if it is at any distance. You will only give away your position, and that will kill you unless you move to another location. As you proberbly remember will you die from one shot.

Sounds good. Thanks for the input. I look forward to joining the war.

    Ever play Splinter Cell?

Every spawn as an infantryman you are a regular Sam Fischer. If you make a lot of noise, you will get killed and if you are too slow, you will get snuck up on.

alot of people when they play their first online shooting game are in for a big surprise. on your regular one-player games its easy for you to kill 50 people without getting a scratch. but when your enemy is now another real player with a brain things get alot harder. i mostly play a british soldier , i dont think ive ever killed more than 11 german soldiers without getting killed again. and now cense they've  added snipers u can still get killed from 1000 yards away.

Getting a kill from over 700 meters with a scoped rifle is incredibly hard. I applaud anyone who can get one from over 700 meters away, as at that distance, it takes two shots in the legs and body to kill an infantry man and if you are lucky, one shot in the chest with a mauser may be enough to cripple the player enough to make him want to despawn.
