I am pretty sure that I saw a demo clip somewhere on the 360 in which they were using a little mini keyboard, it didn't look like a full QWERTY but possibly similar to what the Blackberries and such use. Plus, most modern gamepads have enough programability that they can do all the functions of a keyboard / mouse combo other than type.

Eh, with a keyboard and mouse that you hook up to your consol maybe?? Duh....
I think WoW to the 360 will 100% happen. And personaly it will open some eyes to more mmo developers to do the same. I think it would be cool next step.
The idea of being able to hook up EQ2 via the upcomming PS3 in HD on my projector with full settings (surly with the PS3 power it must be able to??) makes me drool....allmost getting a stiffy....lol

The 360 has USB ports. Both my keyboards on both of my computers plug into my USB, so you could use a normal size keyboard and mouse.

Rumor has it thats the case, but why not both?? would be a serious bump to XBOX live subscriptions.
Maybe, but I believe Sigil is a sub-division of Microsoft and Microsoft makes 360s. Reason why I say Vanguard likely over WoW which is of course runned by Blizzard.

Sigil is funded by microsoft ,not owned by them. I agree Vaunguard makes more sense since..well Microsoft has a vested interest in the game, but its not unheard of for companies to make deals to work together. Most likely it wont happen, i agree, but would ne neat if they did.
So these rumours have spread to WoW now People have been saying the same about SWG, even though it has be said many times by the Devs that it ain't happening.

yes and it was a really big disappointment to find out the "dream Final Fantasy game" that Square would publish on the X-Box (like... first time evaaaa) is .... Final Fantasy XI
Nothing against the game perse, but people were waiting more something like FF XII or even XIII... a original Single player Japanese console RPG... Well, good news is that one such IS cominh. Called Blue Dragon and made by a really powerful dream team of talented people.
Anyhow, Xbox 360, from what i heard, already support a keyboard for sending messages and the full system comes by default with an headset, so no problems transporting WoW or any other mmorpg on it. I don't dare to think what the heck would happen if that becomes true! 5 millions? pah, just crumbles! I hope, though, for difference in hardware setup, that Console and pc users get different servers.

Try playing Combat flight simulator 3 with a gamepad... hell there's not enough keys on my 12-buttoned joystick and my keyboard to fill em all, so you need to make combies like SHIFT + R and such...
But for WoW... it would be easy with some creative designs. Like holding a button down and go in one of 9 directions or click for 10 fast spells you wanted or release the button to cancel. Would be easy.
Warcraft had a following though. Most people that were fans on Warcraft would have already bought WoW. I don't know about you but, I wouldn't buy the same game I had on pc for a console unless it had some significant feature that the pc version didn't. Even then I wouldn't if I was still subscribing to the pc one.

but what everyone is forgetting is most MMORPG's have a monthly fee.
and im betting some idiot developer will try to make them use live and charge a monthly fee.
something no console gamer would do in my mind......
that would be 3 bills necessary to play one game, high speed internet, xbox live, and a subscription fee.
that would be terrible which is why sony isnt charging for online in my mind partially so when an MMO hits the PS3 it will be more reasonable cost effective.

When FFXI came out in Japan it was PC only. Then it was released everywhere else a couple years later on PC. Five months after that It was released for PS2. Now more than half of FFXI's population plays on PS2. In a couple months it will be released for 360. The 360 is predicted to sell more copies with FFXI than it did at launch in Japan. Also there are so many people playing on PS2 that they're making it compatible for the PS3.
MMOs on consoles is very doable. I'd be very suprised if Blizzard didn't try to make the same move that Square did.
power wise the 360 would have no problems running WOW or any other MMORPG it's a question of market size and the vision of the developers. Blizzard are already working on Xbox/360 title with Starcraft Ghost so they will already be familiar with e capabilities of teh machine and the respective architecures. The 360 has 6 data threads running 2 from each core processor, a PC would be hard pushed to match its capabilities. So it's not an issue of power it's one of financial return on investment.
Blizzard is not making anything for the Xbox 360. SC: Ghost is for PS2, Xbox and GC. And to say it another time. No Wow isn't coming to the 360, neither is Vanguard. The only mmo currently on consoles is FFXI. Because it's from a console developer, it's gameplay fits consoles and it's japanese. Neither Blizzard or Sigil is going to rewrite and dumb down their mmo's to put them on a console. Imagine the cries from sigils fans when they announce it's coming to Xbox 360, and they have to cut away 90% of the gameplay features to make it fit the xbox 360 control. Noone makes a game that will require to buy seperate hardware (Keyboard), it has as far as I know never happened. And if it has the game will have sold terrible.
200 skills -> 20 skills Avdvanced controls. Inventory, stats and so on. Everything has to be cut down and streamlined so you don't spend 10 hours doing the action with your control.
