I should know, I just cancelled my content IDs and left my BST61 (highest job level) behind.
BST can basically act as a DD in a party. I think we actually do decent DoT but no one really seems to care much about that. The last thing FFXI needs though is yet another DD job. It's not like the jobs it already has can get invites so they can actually play.
Most of the people I know that play BST do so mainly for one of two reasons: 1) Short play sessions and thus can't wait around for an hour for a party to get going (or just don't want to) 2) Can't stand some of the players in the game (and you can't be too picky and still get a party)
Giving BST better partying capabilities won't really please hardly any of the people currently playing BST.
