microsoft DID make a mmo, dungeon siege 2 its just not here for some reason...

there are 2 knids of people in this world:those who understand sarcasm and those who dont

    u can choose to play online or offline

    mmo stands for massivaly multiplayer online , it may not be that massive, but u still can play online

    Shall we just call this guy an idiot and be done with it, Microsoft also made Freelancer which can be played online, just cos it has online capability does not make it a MMO you can play DS2 online to do the single player campaign with friends no MMO can be completed like DS2 can be.

    Battlefield 2 is more of an MMO than that.

    I thought Microsoft came out with Asherons Call? I think I remember seeing the words Microsoft on the box when I bought it.

    Dude, for the love of god you must be joking, Diablo 2 Has "Free online Play" also, but that doesnt make it an MMORPG. MMORPG is just a straight out online game only, nothing saved on your computer all saved serverside, minus a few things. Just because you can play a game ONLINE doesnt make it an MMO. Counter Strike can be played ONLINE, but is NOT an MMO.  Do you see the picture that im trying to paint for you yet? And Yes MICROSOFT IS MAKING AN MMO, Its called Vanguard Saga Of Heros. IT IS THEIR FIRST MMO. Might want to look into things further before you post, and ruin your repp online, just a thought. image

    Actually, you're mostly right, Microsoft is publishing an MMO, not making one, and if we go into publishing, Microsoft published AC2 for a while until Turbine bought it back off 'em.

    Microsoft also was the first to come out with Asherons Call the first version. Was Turbine part of Microsoft back then because I am looking at the cd right now and it says 1999 Microsoft Corp on it. Don't see anything with Turbines name on it.

    Yep, MS had AC1 and AC2, but sold the license completely to Turbine a couple years ago..

    According to the submit game people here at mmorpg.com it has to have at least 1 (one) server that can supports 500 or more people simultaneously.
