Shadowbane is a ghost town dude.... it was a decent game when it had players but now it's pretty darn boring.

Well i am currently looking forward to Pirates of the Burning Seas and Adellion. Both are in the early Beta stages but the game concepts and ideas seem very cool. i am still kicking my UO characters around to just burn time and just canceled my City of Villians account. two buddies of mine just started WoW and are addicted but i am staying away from it because SOE has left a very sour taste in my mouth for trusting new MMORPG's.

Arnott Nostromo - SWG/MBH dead because of SOE's NGE

Kreeping Death - City of Villians and is canceled due to a horrid lack of depth

Padan Fain - UO/TH still going strong (old habits are hard to break)

I'm currently playing EVE Online, Guild Wars, and Battlefront 2.

I decided to quit SWG due to the trend of pissing on the real fanbase;  the people who chose to play it because they wanted to, not because some well timed ad campaign told us to.  I've noticed that this sort of activity has even spread to other mediums too.  Did you know that Magic:the Gathering is being turned into a knockoff version of Dual Masters/Yugioh?  They're changing fundamental rules to bring in a wider audience.  Selling out the hardcore playerbase seems to be a popular trend.  WE'RE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN STOP THIS!  If we take OUR games into OUR hands, then the corporates won't be able to destroy them in a vain attempt to bring in more money.

Well, after being heart broken by this catastrophy of the NGE, I'm playing WoW.. Trust me guys, the only other MMORPG remotely close to SWG at all would probably be WoW.. Not such a bad game actually, so i wont have a problem settling with it until SWG makes its come back. But i can never attach to WoW as much as my beloved SWG has to me. SOE will pay............

Thanks to you all for your suggestions and feedback

for ref: I am currently enjoying DAoC, i can see some similarities with the good old SWG and I will be trialing rf-online, age of conan and vanguard when they are available.

one thing is for certain, i read recently about SWG2 coming in 2008/9 (on these forums) - man will I be avaoiding that like the plague!!!

BTW sucrerey - awesome sig manimage - never a truer word said lol

I found an Old Style UO player run server.  I'm sick of the new MMORPGS.  None of them interest me and those I've played don't compare to Old Style UO.  I'm happy again.  I'm done with any new MMOPRGS for a long time.

Tried DAoC, wasn't impressed...and it wasn't the graphics that turned me off, either.  Just got bored...it never really grabbed ahold of me.  Playing CoH on & off, ran the CoV beta...and man, does that game have a ways to go before it can be declared equal to CoH (IMO).  EVE Online was fun, if somewhat boring.  Muy repetitive missions there, and not much community to speak of...and PvP interests me every bit as much as having a firehose enema.   I'm a DDO Preorder baby at the moment...played the 10-day beta access and LOVED it.  No, it's not a perfect port of PnP D&D, but such a thing is impossible...instead, they captured as many basics as they could & definitely captured the flavor of D&D.  Highly recommended.  It'll only get better once they launch the live server and get rid of the "1000 people MAX" beta servers. :p

SWG2?  Not if SOE is involved.  Not even if they paid me; my soul is worth too much.

WoW and I am having alot of fun with it. I don't have to sit and deal with bugs daily nor see what the next big suprise annoucement is gonna be that somehow is going to screw me.

The last bit doesn't jive with the rest though. $20 million for Mariah Carey not to sing? Sounds like money well spent to me, too bad Celine Dion didn't get the same deal.
