Char creation??

Hello I am making my char as we speak. I was just wondering I wanted to mahe a rogue then go scout/archer I guess, does it matter which race I pick as far as stats or anything else. Is one better at being an archer than another. Just wondering. Ant input would be great. I am on Gareth/Albion

Starting stats matter little at 50. So I would pick which ever race you preferred although Saracens are a good starting race for scouts if you would like the little boost to dexterity which does help a little at the early levels.

Your primary stats are highlighted when you toon create. Other than that, race doesn't really play in. Some have higher stats than other. None fit an 'ideal' class profile. Any time there is a virtue, it is points from some place else. Celt are flat 60 and I prefer them but the Sheery I think they are called? They have massive Con and that translates to HP. The argument might also be, your primary stats will climb with levels so if you are a stat hawk, they can be low and the rest should be high by default. A level 50 would then end up with all or alot of high stats.

I would have to agree on the Saracen for scout.  Usually thats about all you see for scouts with the exception of the inconnu if you want to be a ugly lil man.

And if I remember although not positive dex and str play into bow damage.  Scouts will have the longest range once you get the good bow so the critter should be mostly dead by the time it gets to you.  They can also spec piercing weapons which chain armor (mids main armor) is weak to and can actually spec in shield in case you need to shield bash for a quick get away
