Its not going to be much help, but I'll answer them on my experience...

b)Rogue, warrior, mage, warlock, and hunter.
c)Uh, see answer "a".

therefore..nerf rogue please... jk
p.s i'm a rogue with 7/8 bloodfang (missing belt so I use nightslayer belt) and grand marshal daggers I must say I kick a lot of ass out of everyone in any 1 vs 1 fights
Any class can own in PvP if played right, but the best class to solo PvP with are Rogues, Warriors, Warlocks, Also Shamens or Mages can own vs melee classes if you frost shock/Nova them and run out of range and cast spells.
You just have to know how to work a mage, and realize when it's better to run. ^_^ Sheeping is the mage's best friend at lower levels.
IMO Blizzard's done a great job in balancing the classes. With talents, any class can preform will in PvP. For example, a shadow spec priest is down-right deadly.
I've been told that druids and warlocks are a bit tough to solo play, but I haven't had too many issues with either class.
My advice, check out each classes descriptions and choose one that fits your play style.
Ico Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.
Has to be a Rogue. A Rogue has the ability to get in and out unseen, a very importanat ability when you are soloing. The sheer damage a Rogue can do, is brilliant in small groups (esp when combined with a GOOD healer). Plus they are great fun in PvP battles / BGs for sneaking up on their healers and quickly taking them down
Warlock is great for soloing. And it doesnt have the dependance of having to spend a lot of money on equipment in much the same way as Rogue, Warrior, etc...
pvp: shadowpriest, warrior/priest combo, hunter solo pve: rogues, paladins, hunters
but seriously, i cant understand why every1 keep saying that shamans is ze overpowered kek, lolz kkkk!11 i mean, they are a pain in the but if ur melee, but ranged played kinda kick their ass.. im nope, im not a shaman
im actually a pala buff plxx!!11 or something like that

A) Rogue B)Paladin C)Warlock (maybe shaman, never tried one so don't know, but heard they were good)
But of course thats just IMOP. Its better to play all the classes and see for yourself which one you like the best. I play a warrior because I like the challenge.

the only people that think they are overpowered are newbs that don't know how to pvp, and in my experience its actually melee that is the hardest for my shaman(besides rogues).
pally, warrior, druids are the toughest for a shaman to beat 1v1
mages get beat down and they are ranged, hunters now thats a different story...sometimes i can get beat by hunters but only if they are good.
ofcource these are all generalizations, any class can beat any other class at any time, but for the most part this is my experience with a shaman.
i also have a rogue and they are probably overall the best for solo play, if its either pve or pvp a rogue is a good choice for solo play no doubt.....dont expect to get in a group very easy though lol

I think mage isn't any good at solo, because of their lack of hp/defense

Don't click here...no2
Paladin
Rogue
Druid
Hunter
Warlock
Warrior
All very good soloers though Druid and Paladins can heal themselves and that helps in combat and also Druids are the best Pve class.

Hunter ftw
Hands down and I've tried every class but I think Hunter is the most fun and most versatile.... imho it's a great class to start with
No bitchers.

A) Warrior/Priest or Mage/Druid (Duo PvP)
Melee: Rogue | Caster: Warlock (Demonlogy) | Hybrid: Paladin
C) Melee: Rogue | Caster: Shadow Priest | Hybrid: Shaman
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
