STAR TREK ONLINE

I posted in another forum about STAR TREK ONLINE being the most logical new SCI-FI MMORPG game, I know that it has been in developement for a year or so...

SO where exactly is it in development?

Are we looking at the release date being an actual stardate before it's done?

I would think that if it was going to be released anytime in 2006 that they would be hyping it more.

A inquiring mind wants to know.....

(I know it will be done when it's done .... before some of you post's that, I will say it myself)

Witty saying to amuse you goes here.

I thought this was going to be a late 2006 or 2007 launch I could be wrong but I didnt think it was very clsoe to being done. Which is to bad because Im looking forward to this game but what can you say.

I think they are aiming to get a beta test going late 2006 and to release the game Q1 or Q2 of 2007 but that still depends on how long development is going to take

Beta test will be in Q4 of 2006 (projected)

Right now, they are not even in the alpha stages. They are still working on the artistic side of things (concept art, etc)

I do agree though...it is the next logical step in Sci-fi MMOs.

Now someone needs to get of their heineys and develop Vampires:Masquerade now

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Allthough obviously Vampire is the bigger of the White-Wolf games I always felt that Mage or Werewolf would be better suited for an MMO.

( Preferably Mage, as that is the one I have been ST for, for a long while )..

Sorry for going of topic, but I just had to say that.. :)

And as far as Star Trek goes, much like DDO, it is a game I will get even if it gets a score of 1 in every magazine and on every site.

It is a rare day for me if I do not watch a single episode.. image

Our ST mixed all the titles. Our game had mummy, mage, werewolf, wraith AND vampire all mixed in. Was VERY cool....

Problem with VTM would be the same problem as DDO is going to face: Fan expectations

Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.
    Sig image Pending
    Still in: A couple Betas

( Ill start with saying sorry for going offtopic, again )

As did we, my RP group consisted of 5 people, each with his own setting, this way we only needed to focus on buying one line of books, obviously the Vampire fella had to dith out the most cash.. :)

And we just switched books now and then.

I think now they have rewritten it again so the core books is the same for all, and called 'World of darkness', I have not played in far to long.

The problem with Vampire as I see it is the need to only play at night. :)

Or at least when it is night inside the game, wich would mean it would need to be ALWAYS night.

Most awesome solution would be to make a world of darkness MMO, if they could balance that, were you could play whatever you want.
