You know.. over the last few days.. i have done a lot of research on eq2.. I have never played the EQ series. I always felt they lacked the new age graphics that some games have. BUT! I have talked to a friend that is beta testing eq2.. and he says he is running dual 3.2ghz processors and the 9900 radeon pro 256 card.. and the graphics are so good.. he worries about lag when more people start playing. I have seen hundreds of in game screen shots, and i must say.. from what i have heard of the story, the screen shots, and all.. this will be a great game! and as far as WOW goes.. well.. honestly ppl.. look at how shitty the design has been in all other warcrafts, and how little there is to do i.e. a 2 yr old can beat it in 2 days. Blizzard is, and always will be behind the time. in 2010 they may have a game that will compare to EQ2.. but then we will all be loving EQ8

Not hardly! Maybe you can beat the campaigns in 2 days, but that's not what Warcraft is about. It's about going against other players, and that is not always easy .

Blizzard has it's own unique style and it appeals to many, but of course there will be others who don't like it, just like there are many who very much dislike Everquest/Sony/Verant after putting up with so much BS from support and developers who say one thing and do another. I played EQ for 3 years and what they do is build a huge everlasting timesink so you will continue to pay and play.

Planes of Power was the end for me. My guild was working on finishing up Rathe (PoEA and PoEB boss rings) and that was when I could take no more.....Needless to say, they entered Time w/o me. These ring encounters are the most ridiculous hellholes ever. Rathe took 7 hours to start with. I'm sorry, but I like going out and doing stuff....That was too much for me, and I just don't see EQII being that much different. Thanks but no thanks.

Gamers may find WOW to be for little kids because of the easy campaign and cartoony graphics. It could turn off maybe even 100s of gamers to wow.

You're entitled to your opinion even though I believe you are totally wrong. WoW will beat EQ2 . Blizzard actually keeps up on updates and has a good Customer Support Service. In otherwords, they care unlike Verant/Sony.

Their graphics are different, but by no means are they behind the times.....Just different, and they have a huge amount of fans that like them. I doubt seriously if they will lose any of these fans . If you're not into it, good for you.....You should enjoy playing some hellhole timesink.

The funny thing is, most gamers love Warcraft and pretty much all that Blizzard has created, so you are mainly insulting instead of making a point. If that's even what you were trying to do.

SOE does have a real bad customer service ( in both SWG and EQ,) but that doesnt stop me from playing their games. I kinda like the WoW toonie graphics but I like the EQ2 lore. I guess I might try em both.

Everyone is saying that WOW is going to be terrible based on blizzards other warcraft games, but i don't think that you can make this presumption here because an mmorpg warcraft is a whole lot different than the original warcrafts. If the makers of everquest decided to make a strategy game like warcraft would it automatically be good? I have looked at both games and they seem almost equal, except for EQ already has a massive following. I think that in order to make a good decision you must wait for the games to come out and try for yourself.

Its hard to tell now sence its a really long time before either game comes out. But I really like EQ so im proply going to get EQ2. However im not sure if ill be able to run EQ2 so I might have to go with WOW.
