Wow, I'll have to install that game again.
Planetside was an odd game for me. In the early days, I was fighting in the largest, most insane battles ever to take place in a multiplayer fps. I've played almost all popular multiplayer fps' such as battlefield, battlefield 2, unreal tournament series, quake 2, tribes series, counter-strike, and let me tell you never has another game matched the size of the wars being fought in the early days of Planetside.
After the expansion pack came out, it felt like the playerbase was dropping. It became tougher to find the big battles, and the continent locks were frustrating. I've had times when continent locks would completely block me from any sort of combat. I eventually found myself sometimes taking hours to find enemies to fight, and that was just too much wasted time, so I quit.
If the game becomes free, I will definitely play it, but there is no way that I will pay a monthly fee just so that I can travel for hours just to see my first enemy.
I heard they added some sort of walking battle mechs of some kind. Where can I get info on those? Can anyone tell me about them and some of the other changes over the past year?

For the old school vets there is some good news here, recently those giant peaces of dog dung (BFR's) have had a nerf to the Flight Variant versions.. What this means to you? No more Giant dog dung bots pogo sticking all over the map.. There no longer a instance "I get away and you cant hurt me button"... AA also is able to lock on them weeeee... Also the devs are going to be buffing AV weapons iit looks like very soon, so hopefully this will end Vehicles Sides and bring back the old days of massive troops battling.
Blah nuff talk time to log back in...

Unfortunately that would cause my station pass to reactivate.
If my station pass goes active again they might think I'm actually playing that crap that they did to SWG. I don't want them to have any confusion about my feelings regarding the Nuked Game Experience.
And I'm not willing to give them any reason to think that SWG is worth a crap. So I won't be back
It's a shame too... I actually liked hopping into PS now and then for some quick mayhem. But DAOC gives me more than enough PVP so I don't really need PS anymore.
Good to hear they kicked BFR's in the jimmies though. Now they just need to remove them altogether. And Core... and those goofy ass weapons that came with Core.... And then give us the NAVAL battles they promised 2 years ago...

Anyway, glad to hear things are improving but I won't be back to SOE till I figure out how to reactivate a game without the damn station pass trying to kick in. (Granted, I haven't really put that much effort into figuring out how).

No offense, but that is a very stupid reason to not play a free game. Only planetside is going to have the free 30 days, not swg or any other sony game. If you do somehow get added to the population list of swg, that would indicate a flawed list. You shouldn't care what they think about you.

Hoorah to that!!! The stupid robots jst took all the fun outta the game, they'd jst jump miles nd stomp anythin tht moved without takin a single hit. More troop wars, less vehicle tedium!
