Glad the only thing you can buy in England in a normal store is a knife, which i belive should be sold at specalists that can check you out and that.

Actually mace isnt used by cops anymore. In 1994-1996 I was a sheriff deputy in Pasco County Florida (my dark years). Police discontinued the use of mace because a few people died from the chemical makeup of mace.

Police today carries pepper spray (in the same container that mace use to be in). Also, when you buy it from a store for civilians it is also pepper spray.

They may call it Pepper Spray mace or mace (with the ingrediant being pepper spray). But the original mace that got its name "mace" has been discontinued since 1992

reason why invading england would be quite quite easy.

mostly because if you cant shoot or own a gun then your going to be terrible with a gun when you need to use one and teh pyschological scare they normally generate will be tripled....

honestly why ID for knives???? i mean they are so easy to make makeshift, and just make knives. And purchase knives as tools(Fillet knives for fishing arent legally required to ID and they can be deadly).

making an enforcement system for knives is a ludicris idea. its like not selling anything that can be made to explode.

i personally know many ways to make many lethal improvised weapons.

if they are just sold then they are easier for forensics to deal with by name and brand and prove what type of knife your looking for, and once you get an description of the suspect any knife store will willing tell you that someone meeting that description bought that that day.

you cant regulate knives it just wouldnt work.

M4 are military weapons thou, I think you need a special licence to be able to legally own a m4, you can always get the ar-15. I also perfer a shotgun over m4 for home defense because a 5.56 bullet will just pierce right through the intruder in a close distance while shotgun will knock him back if not kill him. Also shotguns are much cheaper.

They busted the "Movie Knock-Back" on Myth Busters. They used a pig carcass the same weight as a man I think. I believe every gun they tried from Dirty Harry's famous cannon to a number of shotguns, including those used in the Old West, but almost all of them from many different ranges failed to move the pig more than a couple of inches.

I have to agree...out of every firearm I ever fired I never experienced a knock back...and I fired some impressive firearms before. Although, I never did fire a rocket launcher but from what I hear, they have less recoil than a 9mm

I think I did a important and good choice today.

I'm never going to move to or live in the USA.

I think a western country with less respect for fellow humans, less common sence, more fear, less respect for life, for guns and values that I think a totally normal is never going to be found.

I feel more like watching a action movie when reading thread like this, than following a discussion amongst people. You aren't talking about the problems or how to deal with it. You are freaking talking about how to best take out those people!? It's not "Why are these people doing this?" it's "hmm should I go for that 12 gauge shotgun or the 9mm" and "Shoot the bad guy in the head first? Or take out his kneecaps and then give him a slow and painful death?"

bah. Why do I even care. Going to bed now, without fear and no m16 under my pillow.

The entire ironic thing about this whole thread is(whether you agree with firearms or not) the fact that we all play MMOs that are central to violence to level a character or to enhance his/her skills

Now, Im not into killing things with a handgun...no way. And Im sure the people joking about the 12 gauge/9 mm scenerio are in the same boat. It's just talk.

I just find it ironic that some of us who are offended by violence are playing MMOs that are essential to violence and hacking things with huge axes and swordsfor leveling. ...or burning them alive with a magical fireball or raising the dead to help kill and smite your foes with a good necromanic spell.

It's sorta like a the president of PETA working for Kentucky Fried Chicken. ....hmm..someone should do an editorial on that...nm...Im blabbering again

I have respect for my life and those who respect there lives. Unfortinatly some people like most "gangsters" dont have the same respect I do, and thats why they kill each other just because they arn't like them and because they have a lack of money because are to lazy to study or find a good job they decide to rob a working man in ruthless ways. Thats why we need to protect our own lives and our family's lives even if it means taking the life of one who does not value life. I think it's ok to live in USA as long as you dont live in the gang infested towns.

There isn't a fine line between sadism and self defense.

Although personally I say, take out the kneecaps, and make sure he lives long enough to be sent to prison.

I hope not. M16's are quite hefty to be set under the pillow.

A 9mm glock on the other hand is just the thing for the job.
