Bandits are soo EFFIN COOL!!!! the savage blow kikz butt. and once u become a chief bandit, you'll be heka strong. these are mai opinions, i neva been a bandit b4, but i've seen sum kool bandits b4 and they own.
I, myself, am a level 56 bandit [vacationing] and it's a matter of opinion... I've literally tried EVERY other class there was, and to me, nothing compared to being a bandit. Although I am disappointed in the bandit's third job skills, I love it regardless.
Imo, I think that both crossbow men and bandits are under rated. For bandits, they are filthy stinkin rich. They can kill so many monsters with the savage blow skill and yet they don't have to buy ultra expensive stars like sins. For crossbow man, they arn't really as bad as most people think. They skill where the arrow goes through all the monsters it a row is pretty good and does good group damage. But archers/rangers are still soo much better. If you have ever seen a ranger in action, they are INSANE! Strafe + Fire storm = pwned tauros.

No need to double-post unless you lagged...which i'm guessing was the situation.
Anyways, bandits are NOT rich...their daggers are extremely expensive, they spend millions on pots because they are melee. When a bandit hits level 60...the situation, if they are unfunded, is that they borrowed money from friends in order to obtain their geta...very seldom does a bandit buy a geta independently. Also, sins become one of the richest classes in MS later on...stars are deflating massively, but regardless of that, they still find a way to surpass the amount of mesos other classes have. Crossbowmen are umm how do you say it...uhh...I guess underrated would work, however, unlike the bowman, their mob attack only goes in a straight line, like avenger, whereas the arrow bomb hits around the certain radius. Crossbowmen are generally stronger...and you can call them slow, but with xbow booster, it's not too bad. Xbow-Ice // Bow-Fire

Sorry for the double post, was on my laptop and lagged. And for vanso0, are you on you third job? Or do you just have hunter/bowman?
I'm pretty sure he has not made it to third job...I mean...>_>;; he doesn't even know how to strafe...
Strafe, like all other Active skills, require a "hot key" unless you wanna open up your skill box and double click the skill each time you use it.
Active skills include skills like magic claw, energy bolt, savage blow, lucky 7, double shot, etc. Active skills require YOU to activate it, in order for it to do damage.
Supportive skills ALSO require YOU to activate it, however, these do not do damage, but instead, "buff" or "nerf" you or the enemy...skills such as bless, focus, hyperbody, etc.
Passive skills...once there are skill points in these skills...they work FOREVER, activation unecessary. Passive skills include...keen eyes, critical shot, mastery skills, etc.
I think (opinion cuz its been a long time since I've played MS) that sins have an attack range larger than the bandit. For example: sins: 100-200, but bandit: 150-175... But overall Bandit's attack is stronger... But sins attack from very far. Anyway, check those informations on other sites if you don't trust me =D

No i didnt advance my Ranger but strafe is a skill ok thnx
i have
Ranger:14 Warrior:16 Magican:16 Thief:18
its all a sense of taste, i think bandit rocks sin away but you have 2 like the close combat style!
bandit is stronger then sin i think, but i dunno which one is stronger between hermit or chief bandit?
