Hey I was wondering how will we people or players who speak the english language be able to play this game??? I mean I believe it is in Korean so like how will we play it efficiently, will we have to wait like couple months more to get an english version fo the game???
Comments
The game codemasters is working on is the english version, the korean version has been out for awhile.
My opinion matters to everyone...
Yeah, Codemasters is bringing the game out to US/EU. Other companies have been responsible for releasing versions for the Philippines, Japan, China, etc. The Codemasters version is the one that most of us, here in the forums, are anticipating. ^__^
So does that mean that the release date they have here on MMORPG is release date for the english version??? If it is that is cool, but how do you guys play the beta version though???
Yes that is the release date for the US/UK version of the game. As for the Chinese Beta, it's horrible most of us played it to get a feel for the game. The PH Beta blocks US IP. The Japanese game only offers a 3-day trial, and i'm sure the Korean game is just closed. If you're reffering to the US/UK Beta, that hasn't happened yet, we're looking at next week. If not, then I dunno if they will make release on time.
Yeah oke,
That Codemasters make a english version seems pretty obvious to me, but...
In Korea the game is al ready released, or is that a earlier version of the game? Because I have seen some movies of RF Online battles (from the Asterix site) and they don't look anything like the screenshots.
I know this is probably a neb question and all, but when signing-up for a beta account. Do we need to pay for something like the game itself or they will give, also is it like first come first server or who ever wants to play can play???
Actually, I won the MMORPG.com beta but they still didn't send my code yet.

What do you exactly mean by pre-ordering the game? Does that include a price or just telling them that you wish to test the game out for them? Also If it includes a cost how much exactly are we talking here?
Pre-ordering the game as in going to like www.gamestop.com or www.play.com and ordering the game. Depnds on which country you are from, if america you can goto ebgames or gamestop.. if from the UK I would suggest www.play.com . Gamestop and EBgames is going to run you about $60, and play.com will run you about 17UK currency. After you pre-order you will get your code in your email.
Let's see. First off, the Karoen/Phillipines/Japanese version is out. But as mentioned before CM is working on the NA/EU version fo the game. Which officialy hasn't gone into beta yet. It is for English or Roman Character spekaing languages. Meaning it's going to be reset to the "ASDF" Keyboard, ie, the one you're using now. The other version is where you're getting the movies from or from the Dev Alpha Team.
As for getting into Beta, three ways I know of right now.
1) Winning the contest on the main page for this site.
2) Pre-Ordering the Live version of RFO using a method Ishida has supplied in a previous post.
3) Going to http://www.codemasters.com/rfonline/news.php and signing up for the straight Beta. This si the main webpage for the NA/EU version of the game and has a good chunk of information about the game and Beta. They have a forum where people are always chattering about Beta and what the game is like.
Long story short from the main RFO NA/EU page about Beta is this.
It comes in 3 Phases. Each Phase allows entry for different catagories of Beta Players. Phase 1 includes the community leaders, I guess you could say. The people that have websites promotting RFO and the like. Phase 2 is where the Contest Winners and Standard Beta people get to join in the fray. Phase 3 is where the Pre-Order Beta people get to jump in and really start to crunch the servers. So, depending on when you want to get into Beta, check what each Phase Requirement is for Beta entry. Safe route, go to CM's main RFO page, sign up for Beta and enter into the contest. If you have the Dollars/Pounds/Euro to spend on a pre-order and the game has peaked your interests, then that will assure you a slot in Phase 3 as long as they have Beta Keys to give out.
We will be getting a US version from codemasters. They will make a few necessary tweaks to cater to the US market.
