    Great system if you want unlimited PvP...  What do you do for those who don't like/want PvP?  Or are you going to just forget about that huge part of the MMO population out there?

    Yes I forgot to mention the PVE aspects of skill based.   Again, Leveling is not needed.  In Ultima Online PVE / Dungeon Crawls were still very viable without having to grind out levels.  Once you mastered your skill set, you could attempt some of the high end dungeons.  Some areas required some grouping or help.  But the dungeon/mob difficulty usually was on par for your skill sets.  A Grandmaster Mage would usually do well in one dungeon where a low level swordsman could not.  However the dungeons were scaled to certain skill levels.   If you were say at 80's in skill points for 7 different skills, you could do ok in certain areas.  If you were at 100 in 7 skills you would attempt the higher dungeons.   Then what they did was just release more content and not having to worry about adding from level 40-60 and then 60-80 etc.  The systems was much easier to implement and maintain.  I never once worried about not having to level.   SWG had this mentality too, I really enjoyed it for the first year.  XP filled skill boxes, little differnt than  UO but there still wasnt lvl 80 bounty hunter etc. 

    See, everyone got their characters set and then , boom, you could just play.  I dont' understand why people want to grind to LvL 100.  I think its better if you can develop your characters rather quickly, like a month or 2 and then we can all start concentrating on gameplay and content.  Thats what I always felt was best.

    I have no problem with that...  Out of all of the MMOs I have played, WoW was the only one I reached top level.  I always enjoyed other aspects of the games.   And even in Wow, It too a ling time to get to the top...  Than I created another character to play...

    i'm a casual player, so DDO should appeal to me but, it doesnt. For me it's like playing NWN with better graphics and with other players some time. i have hard time getting groups for quests, another thing i dislike is the lack of exploration involvend, i know it says Dungeons and dragons but they could have at least 2 towns.i'm gonna play it till the end of beta , perhaps by some miracle the game would appeal to me, but i dont think so. they could have made a much better game, if they would have chosen another worls (perhaps Forgotten Realms ) ,Turbine could have made a WoW killer but so....it's like a tiny mouse next to a tiger.

    I with ya man, I just don't see why people are hyping this game up.  I'll pass and just wait for NWN 2.  Just because the title says D&D doesnt mean I gonna have Sucker written across my forehead.  Sorry but Star Galaxies suckered me already and we know how that game turned out :( Level This !
