Well Feb 21st is the release date of the new exspansion. SOE has said the PvP servers will be out sometime around the release Kingdom of Sky. The PvP is not offically a part of it.
Will the PVP servers be a completely fresh start, with people having to make new characters? Or can they transfer their current characters onto that server?
Reason i'm asking, is that if everyone has to start a new character then I'd subscribe just so i'll have people to group with.
i was under the impression that every server will have pvp..I don't think it would be "certain servers" But an official answer from someone clearing this up would be nice.. I was thinking of coming back to play my level 30 Half Elf Brigand, but If I have to make a new character, then I'm not to sure..

there are no pvp servers every server has pvp it is a dueling system. you request to duel another player and they accept or decline. you can place a bet on the duel aswell and win coin. ther are also arena's you and your friends can go into and be a mob of your choise and run around and kill each other.
EDIT: oops just read the new plans to add pvp to 5 new servers. not the dualing system that is already in place as I mentioned above. so to answer the question of the OP the new servers and pvp worlds will be available when the expantion is released.
"The long requested PvP experience finally will come to EverQuestII in February. SoE polled its players on their official forums and the majority leaned towards separate servers with distinct rule sets. For a game that pits good against evil, Qeynos against Freeport, SoE could not ask for a better basis for PvP game play. The rules will be pretty simple.
* Strict good vs. evil. Players will only be able to group with others of their own alignment. * No zone restrictions. Players can attach the opposing side anywhere. In their towns, in dungeons or in the open. * Betrayal will be tricky. If you dont have a city to call home, youre an exile and a target for anyone and everyone
Details are not finalized as yet, of particular interest to me were level restrictions. Will a level 70 be able to come into a newbie area and slaughter level 10s? I hope not!"
So I think that implies that there will be separate pvp servers, though one might also be able to pvp by a dueling system on regular servers.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
sounds to me like they'll have to redo some zones then..Whats gonna happen when we hit level 30? Everyone goes to varsoons and EL to level.I can se varsoons now.As soon as u log in there will be griefers there waiting to jump u..hmm thats not my definition of fun pvp lol.. At least WoW had places where horde could level pretty much in peace,,the same with the alliance..and since all dungeons were instanced based,u never had to fear being killed there...

Hmm, for some reason I cant edit my post. Ah well. Here:

If you look at the bottom of the page you will see them saying "With Live Update #20 ccomes PVP Action".
So Kingdom Of Sky is not needed to play PvP.

I dont' think that is entirely true... quote:
