I was reading through some of posts and i find out sooo many ppl complaining that "OMG there is no community in this game" "OMG this is all instances" "OMG i wasted my money" So i writting this in case of some thoughful ppl want to find out about the game before they purchase.
When u buy something, least you have to know what u are buying. Here is my personal thought about GW.
1.GW is not a MMORPG. It is not massive at all. You will not see some 40vs40 action in here nor insane lackforge(this is what i used call ironforge in WOW) towns in GW. SO STOP BRING OUT WOW AND complaining. Im sick and tired of it:)
2.GW is ALL INSTANCE. Ii is all instance. This is not a new idea. It has been disscussed through out history of MMORPG as of alternative choice of avoiding lack. Think of UO which did not had any instance at all and think of other somewhat recent MMORPGs which has some degree of instances. However GW is most likely first game that actually implemented the idea fully. Well COH is what some simularities but personally i think its more MMORPG than COORPG.
3.Main purpose of the game is fun PvP and fun GvG. Since it is RPG it has some nice storylines. However main purpose of playing MMORPG instade of RPG is interaction of ppl. SEE THE DIFFERENCE? This game is more concentrated on PvP than incident of making friends or ganking lowbies. GW is more likely play sotrylines with some other ppl and build up friendship and do some PvP and make/join guild and hve fun in GvG or competive PvP mission. So far this game has best PvP/GvG through my experience of online game play.
4.If u got no brain dont play this game. This game requires alot of thinking. In most of MMORPG if u got best equip and u are highest lv u can be, than u will own most of ppl. In GW well u will not. GW more concentrated on skill/spells. If u brought spells and ur oppenants are weak at those spells u will win otherwise u have tougt battle. It all depend which skill u eqiupe b4 the fight and which oppenant u meet.
5.This is more personal thought. I think this game is more like "get-on and go" style. I never spent more than 30min to get party for mission. i did soloed most of quests with hench.
