Psp virus?

Hi, just wanted to know if anyone has had that psp virus that makes your psp as useful as a brick? Mine hasnt but i would like to know this stuff:

i) Is it just a lie to stop people downloading stuff?
ii) Has anyone actually have it?
iii) Could you tell me some details?

    I own a psp and have really only downloaded the 2.6 update and some backrounds....Damn i want homebrew though i know I can't because of the stupid patch.. Not even heard of any virus.

    I've heard of that virus, saw a video of a guy deliberately putting it on his PSP. None of my friends who own one have the virus though...

    Who knows the memory stick it like a hard drive so maybe they could have viruses?
    Computers Hard Drives do som why can't a PSP Memory stick get one?

    Yeah there is one. Norton can now detect it too. I have never used homebrew, becuase I updated my PC as soon as I got it to 1.5 or somthing so I was unable. I find some homebrew useless and I don't get whats up with using portals, but I do know some pretty cool stuff you can do on your PSP.

    I need to find out how many people have a PSP too.
