I have a question after you d/l EVE (600MB) and setup account with them ($14.95) per month. Is all expansions from the very beginning to present expansion that just release few weeks ago cost extra $19.95 or whatever like most MMORPG expansions or is it all free expansions d/l it to the game as patch like as long playing $14.95 per month? I was curious I notice on EVE store they didnt have any expansions on it but just local stuff like hats, chain, etc.

thx for helpimage

The current client you download includes all Expansions released up to that point. The Expansions in EVE are mandatory, but free.

Yes, all of EVE's expansions are free (and will always be, forever), but the Devs like to think of it like the expansions are paid for as part of the $14.95 subscription cost. That is why we pay, right, for continued development of the game?

If you saw a $19.95 price somewhere, that is the account activation cost, with 30 days game time included. Another way to look at is it costs $5.00 to make a new account (or upgrade from a trial), and then you pay the normal $14.95 subscription fee on top.

Also, keep in mind that the monthly fee is cheaper when you by in blocks. The largest block offered is a 1 year subscription at $10.95/month. The only catch is if you cancel your account before your subscription is up, you don't get a refund.
