Fallout 4 the MMORPG

I have decided on the next MMORPG I want to play.

Fallout 4

How damn cool would that be? image

Perfect background for character development, player based economy, PvP & PvE and everything else that a successful MMO could ask for.

Someone tell Black Isle to get their act together & start programming.

The race doesn't always go to the swiftest, nor the battle to the strongest, but that's the way to bet.

    I really enjoyed playing Fallout 1, 2 and to a lesser extent Fallout Tactics.

    Allthough that was a long time ago.

    But I think a good new Fallout game would be a good idea.

    It would be a nice idea. Perhaps Fallen Earth will be close enough to a Fallout world, though.

    Currently playing:
    * City of Heroes: Deggial, Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster. Server: Defiant.
    * City of Villains: Snakeroot, Plant/Thorns Dominator. Server: Defiant.

    I heard last that Bethesda has the license now. They said they'll be working on it using the technology they are currently using, which most likely will be the elder scrolls 4 engine.  It may not be an mmorpg but it will be interesting to see how they work this out.

    Any post-apoc or cyberpunk styled mmo would be good, if the execution is done properly. That means NO PSIONICS AND NO MAGICAL NANOTECH, PLS. ^^;

    Bethesda working on Fallout 4?  Excellent news if true!  I love Elder Scrolls and I think Bethesda may be the best RPG maker left to produce a worthy Fallout game.

    It was quite some time ago that it was announced Bethesda had the rights to make Fallout 3.  At the time they didn't have the rights to make an MMO.  Haven't really heard much since then but would imagine that's due to work on Elder Scrolls.

    This was a link to the story on gamespot.

    Me and a buddy have been talking about making a Fallout LIKE mmo for some time, since it would be the best MMO possible. We have an engine done and everything, but we have just not had enough time Me with school and him with his work.

    BlackIsle went backrupt some time ago, sorry to tell you. ::::16::

    It's abbreviated FOOL for a reason. As mentioned before, Bethesda has the rights to develop Fallout 3, 4 and 5. Interplay retains the rights for a Fallout MMORPG. Considering the financial state of IPLY, it's not going to happen unless they sell the rights to someone else. The idea itself is almost as silly as the Fallout FPS idea that's thrown around all the damn time and unfortunately something Fallout 3 will probably end up as. Black Isle has been dead for two years, most of them went to Obsidian. Not that they ever did anything worthwile other than Planescape: Torment, just a bad sequel to Fallout and a bunch of cancelled projects.

    Yup ::::16::

    And Bethesda which has the rights to make Fallout 3 have been dragging their knuckels on the project since they bought the rights. People think it's because of Elder Scrolls coming out soon, which sounds reasonable. But honestly I wouldn't be shocked if the Fallout project gets completely thrown out and they start working on something else once Oblivion gets released.

    Fallout MMO? I'd try it out, only because I'm a diehard fan. But as another poster already stated, Interplay still owns the rights to an MMO, so it'll be a snowball's chance in hell if a game like this ever gets made.

    There is nothing to stop another company making a Fallout-style clone, imagine Valve making one, that's more then plausible.
