well the game is going to cost $30-$40

i really think it is worth it if you also own the first because you will be able to play both games with the same account and the same character. Meaning that you will be able to bring thing to the regular game and sell stuff from factions to people that dont have it so you would make more money.

Even if you dont have Guild Wars then i think that you should still get it beacause it is a awsome game and i have dont alot of looking into it

    1 out of 10 i would give it a 9.5

Factions is worth it depending on the person,

If you don't mind the fact that the level cap is not being increased (as far as i know) which means you will be playing the campaign with your character from the first guild wars which is already lvl 20 without getting levels, this may put people off as where is the motivation to play the campaign?

also they are bringing 'factions' but in my opinion this makes no impact on the game, its still instanced so you can't attack other factions (unless there are special missions, although that would be a minute part of the game) , and in pvp you could fight anybody.

(excuse me if any of this is flawed, it is correct based on what i know of factions so far)

Well if you want to play a game that actually gets the assassin class RIGHT. then yeah I'd say that the new expansion is worth it. Other then that. Its all on what you want to do.

that the assasin class has been got right is debatable IMO, it depends on what u think an assasin should be like, but to me its seems they have created a warrior with different weapons and appearance ( it even has an ability that copies stances... very assasin like?)

I would say it's worth it, i think GW is a beautifull game, with great gameplay, i might not get lvls anymore at lvl 20, but i stil get skill points wich means i can stil "progres" in a way. I am eagerly awaiting the release, hoorah for new content, hoorah for no monthly fees, hoorah for A Net

True, but from some of the MMO's I've played; it always seems that the assassin class is underpowered with very little versatility. I didn't like the copy stance skill myself. I personally thought that was just a filler hex for your first attack. When I played the assassin; I felt that it was pretty well from my other experience. (Cause with most MMO's there is a choice between rogue and assassin and rogue is always far superior.)

And did anyone mention that there is no monthly cost!!
That is probably the best part not to mention the killer graphics and story line...
