What happens when you die?
I'm a bit curious as to what happens when you die. I know that there are 2 different types of death and penalties associated with it, PvP and PvE. So....
What happens when you die in PvP? penalties?
What happens when you die in PvE? penalties?
Is there a character class than can rez you? consumable? buff?
Where do you respawn at? can this location be changed?
Thanks in advance! Can't wait until phase 2 when my preorder key gets unlocked!

The only one that I am certain of is that there is no penalty in PvP...the only thing you lose is Honor.
Mattyj is correct about PvP death. In PvE though you sometimes lose xp. Dying will either result in no xp loss, or 1% to 8% of your xp loss. Rarely do people lose more then 2% to 3%, but it does happen.

Well Mattyj was partly right. There is no exp penalty for dying in PvP. However, you do lose Contribution points (hereafter referred to as CP).
Your CP determines your rank within your own race. The player with the most CP is the Race Archon. Also, I think the top 5 of your race make up a "Race Council" of some sort. In later expansions, you can trade in CP for gold as well. So CP matters, just in a different way.
Also, if you are killed by someone much higher than you, you don't lose much CP, but you lose quite a bit if the player is much lower than your level (make sense?) Similarly, if you kill someone with a much lower level than yourself, you aren't awarded many CPs (because it is easy), but if you kill someone much higher, you are awarded with a lot (because it is much harder).

Yeah and also, the last person to hit the person before their death gains the CP, sucks, I know, but thats how it is now.
Thank you for all your responses. I'm sad to hear that there is kill stealing. However, you guys missed a few of the questions:
Is there a class that can rez you when you die?
When you die, where do you respawn at? can you change this location?
Oh yeah...Some Specialists can rez and I think that you respawn at your race's HQ
I think it's mostly just the level 40 class of the specialists that can resurrect. I hear that Tier 4 skills (level 50) have resurrect as part of the spiritualist class. You can talk to most npcs and bind there to respawn there. I've found binding around the main headquarters is easiest since the main teleporter is there.
