Is this game anything like EvE ?
Im an EvE player and I like the way the EvE world runs, a player based economy and complex pvp battles and ship setups. A game where you are not forced to do anything mainly professions.
A game you need to think to get ahead, not just grind.
Does this game fit the profile ?

the only thing that would make me really like this game, is the ship customization.

if its like EvE, thatll be a good thing also. EvE lacked some things that didn't matter much, but would've made it a lot better.

Can't say for sure, but to me it looks like it, probably not as complex economy, but still, something like it..

If you liked EVE you should check out this one. Unlike EVE its being built to appeal to the more precise wargamer crowd.
Example, The devs mentioned that at night they will control when a ship is displayed on a screen or "player radar" If you have your lights on you will be seen further away. Although there wont be a day/night cycle on the nav map some mission types such as smuggling require night operations and will be well represented.
Its going to be slightly different, but the prespective is generally the same. Your the captain of the ship, you control the vessel and you choose upon your actions. but of cause you cant walk around on space stations on EVE, but you can walk around in ports in PotBS.
Looking forward to this with great interest.
God I hope this game isn't like EVE.

EVE, of all the mmo's I've played, is quite simply the best of them all, which is why its the top rated MMO on mmorpg.com It's pvp is 2nd to none. EVE is the type of mmo that developers look at and envy.
That's good! Is the universe outside of the ship going to be more than the ports? Or is that mainly just for dropping things off and picking things up?
