Sorry for compalining again but it's my fave mmorpg site and the only one i visit.

Again i have a few things that bug me.

- Forums bugs, havnt been fixed at all over the years

- Site is slow

- Looks old

Well I have some good news for you

A new web server will arrive at our hosting facility tomorrow.  With this new server and another week of implementation we hope to begin running a load-balanced solution to better accommodate our recent traffic explosion.  We have invested a great deal into all of the new hardware required to pull this off and we will continue to do so in order to keep up with our growth.

And as part of this we had to re-work much of our forums which resulted in many of the current problems being addressed.

We also have a new quad processor database server that will go live in the next 2-4 weeks - this should really speed up things on the backend as well

Lastly, we have contracted someone to "re-skin" or site.  Note that unlike fan sites MMORPG.com can't really take a theme and it has always been our philosophy that simple is better - but we hope to improve the look and feel while leaving the layout intact.

Note that our recent growth really caught us off guard.  We went from 600 or so people online concurrently to over 1000 in really just a few weeks.  It is exciting to say the least, but a bit stressful at the same time - especially on our poor machines!

Any chance of getting better emote graphics? It's a small thing, but better emotes would be way cool!
