i just tried turf battles...there registration pages are broken dont bother downloadin it as you the account validation doesnt get send out..there loss i suppose.
Try rf online but dont get too excited by the hype. You might enjoy it for a day or so but beyond that it isnt going to hold much appeal for anyone interested in the evolution of the gentre or wanting something new.
you will see people claiming it is for the serious gamer (unlike titles like wow) or pvpers but dont let this fool you.
Grinding is fine imo but there has to be a point to it, pvp is a great activity but it has to be more than just a pot spamming exercise for all and a focus on skills not xp intriguiing but ultimately just a pointless xp grind given another name.
classes merge into each other like no other mmog i have seen, so if you are interested in being a caster that can stand toe to toe with your foe and melee, or a warrior that casts spells you might like it. just dont come crying to these forums in a few weeks or months when you've realiased that character classes have to maintain some substantial differences and rewuire different gameplay styles to have any meaning or distinction from other classes in a game.

'Cause a thousand words called through the ages,
They'll fly to you, even though I can't see.
I know they're reaching you, suspended on silver wings
