ROSE Online: European Services Ended

Gravity has officially confirmed that GamesRouter has ceased operation of ROSE in Europe. The company's demise came only days before Gravity intended to revoke the license from GamesRouter, according to sources at Gravity.
QualityGo.com, which all GamesRouter websites now redirect to, has an updated notice that tells fans they have, "allowed Wemade and Gravity to have the freedom to find new partners to service Mir 3 and R.O.S.E in Europe." They also ask for users to grant permission to share their data so that their characters will not be lost in either game whenever service resume.
This news officially confirms that players of ROSE and Legend of Mir 3 in Europe through GamesRouter have lost their service. There is not - as of yet - any word on refunds of pre-paid time. We have also yet to confirm what will happen to those who won 90 day accounts in our recent contest.
This news does not impact the operation of ROSE in other areas, including North America.
Gravity has no official comment on the matter at this time. MMORPG.com will keep you posted as this story develops.

I would also be seeking if u could get us a update for MIR3 aswell because we paid for that and it was ran buy gamerouter
All that is known on that front is that MIR3 is also shut down and the company is free to seek alternative hosting services in Europe.

I'm glad to see the MIR3 and eRose players will have their charracters back! Very nice and good job!
It's a great shame but the writing has been on the walls for quite some time. I am not sure if sending them a email allowing them to release your details would be the cleverest idea without more information upon who the info will be sent to and how it will be used and also a promise that this info won't be sold on.
I took part in the Erose "beta" test and was highly critical of GR on the official forums. You'll notice I said beta in quotes, because it was not really a beta but a free promotion to hook players into the game before buying. We were actively encouraged NOT to post feedback regarding bugs, since GR claimed they had no power to fix them, only Gravity.
The blind fanbois flamed me at every turn for attacking GR claiming that they were not to blame for the poorly run Erose which was a shadow of other versions. I asserted that GR had signed a contract to host the game and had a duty as a business to deliver the same product as other versions, even if it meant badgering Gravity constantly for updates.
I was told constantly to leave GR along, be patient, you wait and see, it will get better. Many of the fools were even hooked in by the million euro prize offered to any who played and paid during 2006. My only regret is that the official forums went down so I cannot go there and read it and weep; would love to see what they have to say now.

And for the title of this news...where is the info that GR is no more? I don't know what is their current status is at this time
but looking at all the official info that was give out, I can only conclude that they won't host rose in the future again...(maybe they will still host mir3, I don't know)
nowhere do I see that they don't exist anymore...so unless mmorpg has more info, maybe it could be suitable to edit that title :P
They may as well be no more as they have used up any respect the player base had for them as a company. To suddenly pull the plug on a game without warning is the very worse type of management I can imagine and it would be unlikely anyone would trust them again with a MMORPG licence.
It has reflected badly upon Gravity and it has also reflected badly upon Wemade. I doubt any other company would be foolish enough to trust them with another game.
They lost their prortfolio, thus the title.
As to the quotations, that's sort of the point of writing an article. I quoted the interesting, new and relevent information.

k ty...just wanted to ask, since there wasn't alot of official stuff out there.
They also gave a email address to report problems once the game was open for all. The bugs, and there are many, are present in ALL versions not just the EuRose version - that would be the developers problem not the game host.
People have been doing this from the begining, blaming the wrong company for faults of the game itself. Yes GR had some problems, but lets not blame them for choices Gravity took with the game

Not quite true. Very often news is condensed down to the facts.
Another blind GR fanboi huh? I don't know about "closed beta" but there was an open beta of Erose just prior to P2P. During the so-called beta a Forum CS rep posted that sending in bug reports would be pointless, since GR had no power to fix them, only Gravity did. Many, many people complained about a great many missing features in Erose that were in other versions, and many, many posters said "stop blaming GR, it's gravity that provides updates."
However, GR should not have taken on the provider role if they could not guarentee updates from Gravity. This is not the same as Bilzzard releasing a game in many countries. There is only one version of WoW. But R.O.S.E. has several versions, Irose, Krose, Jrose, NaRose, and Erose. But all were slightly different, and the EU version was missing chunks of content from the other versions. Sure Gravity may have designed it, but GR bought and sold it.
If you're sold an inferior product, a car, TV, etc. who do you complain too, the manufacturer or the shop that sold it to you? If you import a product that is inferior you deserve the blame, for being dumb enough not to check it first.
Why can't you see this? It's basic business sense.
So, what happened? still going to get accounts on na server or what?
Noone knows quite what is happening atm. It could mean a NA transfer (assuming GR/QGO do release the info required) or we could be looking at another long term beta for EU whilst a buyer is found for the EU licence.

There has not been any new news regarding the status of the euROSE database from Gamesrouter yet. We are still working towards the ability for the ROSE NA service to be able to fully host and continue the euROSE players, however there are a number of details that need to be worked out first.
When more information is available, it will be announced on the website. Until then, thank you for being so patient.

Gravity is probably going to let the company that is currently hosting European Ragnarok Online host European ROSE as the company is closer to the source; they also have a better track record with Gravity and host alot better then Gamesrouter.

On a different note the other game which was being run by GR (before they went down the pan) was Mir3. Mir3 has now found a new european host (game network who also host the Mir2 european service) so it is possible everyone will hear more news regarding Rose soon.

You didn't pay Gravity anything. You paid GamesRouter. They are the ones that owe you money not Gravity.
