PVP exploit or bug?

in Star Wars Galaxies

i have had many tell me of the exact same experience, so post if you recognize this.  let me first say before i describe it that i am a spy, i use MELEE weapon for pvp, i know it is not lag, nor saber block, and this is not a disgruntled pvper who is crying exploit.  i'm not sure what it is, but i will admit at this point i suspect it is some kind of exploit.  it has happened against the same three players more than once....

here is what happens.....  you are fighting an overt and doing damage when all of a sudden you stop doing damage to the enemy.  they continue to do the same damage to you.  that is it in a nutshell.  so let me try to describe some situations...

first, it is tough to really tell anything one on one, adn although i noticed it one on one against a certain player i really noticed it during a battle involving three overt imps (me being one) and an overt jedi who i had noticed this happen with before.  after killing two other rebs, this overt came in a bit late in the battle only to realize he was up against three imps, two were jedi one was spy (me using melee weapon).  we quickly snared him and began to pound.  what we saw only helped confirm what i had previously suspected was going on.  his health flew down to half and all of a sudden stoped...we had three people on him and no damge was being done...  he killed one of us, then all of a sudden his health droped again and he was dead.

..now i have noticed a few players that this seems to happen with.  so i began to search the forums asking if anyone els had encoutered this.  i got the usuall "learn to use your prof" flames but also got a nice number of players (maybe 10 or so) who came to describe exactly the same thing i had encoutered.  one spoke of a medic outlasting three enemies alone, taking no damage and laughing about it like he knew what was happening.  another spoke of a guild that seemed to be doing exactly what i described.  the player reported the guild and it's players who wer doing this to the devs but apperantly the devs said there is no proff of an exploit so nothing can be done.

....my threads of course get locked as soon as i post them on the swg forums, so i am posting this here.  if you are a swg pvper who is encountering this i'd love to hear about it here.

    Heh... if you're looking for SWG help, this probably isn't the best place to look. If you want to talk about what you would do to Smedley if he was hanging off a cliff, this is where you belong.

    Erm.. Biss... this forum is for people who play SWG or who are thinking about it.  Flaming someone for asking a question about the game is wrong.

    But so far, I was right. He didn't get any help, just flames (...even if all the flames were from me).

    srry my bad, i should mention that i do hate john smedly and the rest of them, the game does suck!!, and i am waiting for a rollback like everyone els :)  don't worry i'm one of you :)  the only reason i play the game is that it's the only starwars mmorpg out there.  i tried many others but to be honest i don't like any of them, no mmorpg imo is as good as swg was precu and even cu for that matter.

    i will also say that i know this question belongs on the swg forums, and that's where i started posting but i first got banned for posting about exploits then i kept trying and they kept locking my threads...that is soe for you, bunch of fuck heads.  so i turn to you my brothers to help me with this.  i feel your pain and frustration and am with you, but it's all i have until either a rollback happens or a new game comes out...and this is the SWG section...  hope that helps :)

    Kuzseamer,

    I've read about a couple of exploits that have resulted from the new client/server architecture that is part of NGE. One of them is as you have described where damage is not being updated.
