Means you need windows NT, or 2000, ME, or XP.

Won't work on 98 or 95.

If you do have an NT based kernel then I can't help other than to tell you to reinstall windows:P

well i have windows me, is that a nt based operating system?

because i click on the dnd icon and it says error requires windows nt.

Windows ME is Windows 98.

You are going to need to upgrade to at least Windows 2000 to play.

The original Windows NT is not a viable gaming platform so your only choices are 2000,XP or 2003 Server (might run into trouble with 2003 so I wouldnt bother).

Im not quite sure why you would want ot run Win Me anyway

well it wasnt my choice my computer wheni had it built came with me, and it was a gaming comp when it came out, just havent upgraded its operating system yet, but it plays half life and doom fine so this game is a piece of crap if it wont work with older operating systems that a very good way to lose some market.
