Why

I like games with mature people but if we get games that are too demanding then they die out in America. Nothing past EQ has done very well that took much thought to it. DAoC was okay but never hit the height EQ. The only thing that turns my off in this game is the whole getting you body stuff. I rather lose exp and level's than go and get my body. We just have to wait and see if this game can survive in this world. I am hoping to see some gameplay at E3.

People really need "niche" games now. You need the easy dumbed down Fantasy game like WOW but also you need games that might not appeal to 5 million people but could still be a sucess. I don't like PvP for instance but some do. Seldom does anyone make a game that does both right. Why not shoot for 400k subscribers and set your budget with that realistic goal in mind and build a game that at least does one or the other right. EQII right now is trying to release a expansion a week and are floundering trying to keep up with the "jones" (WOW) and just like with SWG, SOE has changed the game so much trying to make everyone happy that they've made no one happy. Same thing goes for instancing vs no-instancing, challenging vs easy. Give everyone a game and quit trying to beat WOW and the public will be better off. I think that is what Vanguard will do. Their are at least 450,000 people out their that played EQI that would love to see that kind of a challenge returned to a game.

This game, and Heroes Journey are the two games I am waiting for the most. I like a challenging game with a few friends. With the body retrieve the only other thing I am not happy with is finding groups for the bigger stuff. I wish a game would make it easy to make groups and really would like to see a game without guilds but just have to find groups. That would be different.
